You deserve a relaxing wilderness getaway in a luxuriously private, self contained chalet overlooking the beautiful Lake Rotorangi. Our two night minimum chalet stay includes a leisurely boat trip, kayaking and freshly baked breakfast croissants are delivered to you on your 1st morning.

The chalets, stylishly furnished with kitchens for guests to self cater are serviced daily. Dinner at the Lodge can be requested at the time of booking.

Complimented by a sustainable farm enhanced by woodlands of exotic and native trees in a beautiful sheltered valley. Just a short downhill stroll to the lake through the redwoods, guests can kayak (complimentary) in serene glassy waters. Clay shooting is also available.

Located nearby is Lake Rotokare Scenic Reserve where guests can enjoy a 3km easy hike in New Zealand native bush while enjoying the birdsong in a predator free habitat.

Caniwi Lodge is situated on a scenic country road in eastern back country Taranaki within 20 minutes drive to Eltham and an hour from New Plymouth.
