  • The room was not as advertised and when I showed your duty duty manager the listing she agreed and told me it would be changed. As for using the facilities, the duty manager told us that this was ok while she was sorting out the mix up. During our brief stay we kept to our selves and were in no way disruptive. Its dissapointing to read your response Bryan as the information you have replied with is false.

  • Was dissapointed to find that the room advertised was not the room we recieved. Wai Ora were not willing to rectify the situation and provide us with the room that matched what was advertised on the website we booked through. Very misleading. After wasting half of the day we ended up asking for a refund of our money and went and stayed elsewhere. Wai Ora is overpriced and the management are obviously not too concerned about their customers.

  • Please note that the customer involved with this comment checked in a 10.30 am not the advertised 3.00pm checkin time, initially refused to hand over a credit card as she told our receptionist that her mother had already paid for everything, then complained about the room with is exactly as advertised including stating that the internet connection was not working which when tested by my staff was found to be working correctly. They then wanted to be upgraded for free so when my staff contacted me at 1.30pm I advised then to refund the client and ask then to leave as they were being disruptive to staff and other guests. Before they left they used the spa and sauna facilities injcluding the resort towels and robes. In the time that we have been providing accomodation to Travel Bug customers we have had no complaints at all only accolades! Bryan Hughes Resort Owner

  • We stayed at the Wai Ora Lakeside Spa Resort in September. It has recently been refurbished and the facilities are excellent. It is a great place to stay with beautiful views of the lake and Rotorua township. Handy location - close to town, airport, redwoods and the green and blue lakes. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the food and service was wonderful. Highly recommended !!
