Comments about this property

  • A chilled out place with cool little cottages. Staff were friedly and helpful. Only criticism - prices quoted over the phone were more expensive than those on the website, which is poor practice.
    NICHOLAS KEENE - Jul 16, 2010
  • Thank you for taking time to write a feedback, Nicholas. I am glad you liked my Cottages. We try and run last minute deals and offer a cheaper rate for some of our units as reward to guests who book and pay through automatic on-line systems. But I can imagine that this is sometimes confusing when we quote our normal rack rate on enquiries over the phone. Your feedback has prompted me to remind reception staff handling phone enquiries of the need for explaining that option.

  • Very clean cabin facilities spotless enjoyed our 6 nights would stay there again. One negative thing the grounds need a good tidy up.
    graham johnson - Mar 15, 2010
  • Dear Graham. Thank you very much for your feedback.. and thank you for pointing out the the grounds. Our oaktrees are all sheding their Acorns at the moment. Over the past 7 days, I have been fortunate to get help from an enthusistic young gardener who has been weeding and pruning his way around our Cottages and Flats. He will be busy for at least another 4 weeks and soon we will be able to plant our spring bulbs. I hope to host you both here again soon.

  • Had a lovely stay here in January - very relaxing and chilled out - only noise was the heavy rain shower one night on the tin roof...gorgeous weather the rest of the time. Lovely view of Mt Te Aroha from Cottage Possum deck and I have some amazing sunset photos of Mt Te Aroha complete with rainbow as souvenirs.
    Trudi Brock - Feb 8, 2010
  • Thank you Trudi. We hope that everyone who stayed here over Auckland anniversary weekend has been able to dry their wet gear, tenters especially, it was very wet and lucky for those staying in Cottages or Cabins like yourselves. Our trees are soon starting to change into autumn colours, I am sure this might be an opportunity for you to come back and take some new pictures here? Any chance we can view the ones you took durinmg your last visit? Anna www.tearohaholidaypark.co.nz

  • anna was as helpful as other mention, as we have a lovely time bbq all night and is a shame that we haven't got time to use the spa as they close around 8:30, if could extend the hour of the spa will be great. We will come back next time for stay for sure.
    Simon Cheung - Jan 12, 2010

  • I always stay here when I visit my mum in Te Aroha. It is quiet, peaceful, spacious with many large and small trees and shrubs. Peaceful, with birdsong the main sound apart from occasional cars passing on the road. Surrounded by paddocks with cows, horses but close to town. Each cabin, flat etc is different with its own character - no boring uniformity like many motels etc. Many with nice polished wooden floors, and panels. Fittings are basic but cover the necessities. Sometimes a bit random what is available in the rooms eg some have tables some not. Staff are quick and happy to resolve issues like missing cutlery or wifi not working. Friendly but obtrusive or effusive. Great place to stay!

  • I had a very pleasant 3 night stay @ Te Aroha Hoilday Park in August in 1 of the well kitted out comfy tourist flats. Some of the free standing ones have original character. I found Anna very helpful about local attractions, and accommodating. This Park has a unique atmosphere, and the rock mineral spa is beautiful to soak in under the stars! I recommend this place and will be returning.
    Helen Falla - Sep 10, 2009
  • We were very happy staying here in the park and extended your stay for another night, we really enjoyed the rock pool(highly recommended), the very friendly service and the good maintained park. Thanks very much and we would definitely come back;-)))
    Heike Geuder - Aug 5, 2009
  • We camped at this site over the Easter weekend and found Anna very helpful and pleasant, we are looking forward to returning. The facilities were kept very clean and the children loved the play area, they didnt want to leave! A lovely site and Te Aroha is well worth a visit, we were just passing through and found ourselves a lovely place which we will re-visit often!
    Shirley Jefferies - May 5, 2009
  • Thank you Sherley Jefferies and family. It is alway interessting to see what the children come up with while playing on and around our huge oak trees, last weekend we had one father here who designed an obstacle course for his girls, they wer swinging between the branches like squirrels. Hoping to host you here again very soon. Anna, Ayako and Martin

  • Just to do some name dropping a great place for a great meal is "Grand Palace Hotel" (the one next to Woolworths) This place does not get any credit or advertisement in the town i have noticed..and there is some serious eating to be done here. *$24 for a kiwi steak - Rump steak, chips, 2xeggs, tomatoes, mushroom sauce *7 for a prawn cocktail - on a bed of lettuce *3.50 for garlic break $12 for a small Roast meal Thats what we ordered. *Freshly made food, clean, inviting and appealing food *Lovely to unwind with a cold tap beer, or wine and await the quick appetizing entree's that came out almost immediately *Dishes were taken away as soon as we cleared our plates *I could not finish my steak meal it was great
