Accommodation was clean and self contained. It was a little chilly but the heater helped. We got a surprise upgrade to a cottage, which was nice as we had catering facilities, although the cottage was at the back of the property and the view out of the windows wasn't as attractive as the location overall. Cabin clean but didn't have a can opener or bread knife. As soon as we asked we were loaned an opener from the office. Advertised a hot pool but they apologized cos it was only barely luke warm. Spoke to someone who'd stayed a longer time & they said it wasn't hot when they were there. The hot pool was main reason we booked.

Thank you for your feedback. The hot pool is 40 oC between approx. 6.30 - 8 pm and heats up and cools down before and after these times. I am sorry that it was not the desired temperature when you tried using it. We can sometimes alter these times if guests request alternatives.

We booked a "surprise upgrade cabin" and we did get a surprise. They upgraded us to a cute cottage. The service was friendly, accomodating and the cottage was cosy and tidy. We checked out early to explore Te Aroha the next morning and the owner was so gracious and allowed us to leave our bikes there while we went to explore the town. We will definitely go back again.
