The Sudima Hotel (formerly Commercial Hotel) is historically famous, was built in 1876 which has been restored to its former glory.
Located in the heart of Hamilton City CBD on the corner of Victoria and Collingwood streets across from the Skycity Casino. Surrounded by pubs/clubs, resturants, movie theatres, cafes and shopping providing plenty of entertainment.

A wonderful inner-city hotel. The bathroom was clean, shower was wonderful, and the no-fog mirror was a real treat. Bed was comfortable and the room was very clean and has everything you need - alarm clock has a slot to put your ipod in. Staff were friendly, welcoming and proactively helpful. Two small downsides - tv only has a handful of channels and no sky. Inclusions were minimal - soap, shampoo and shower foam only, more like what you'd get in a three-star. Great inner city hamilton hotel. Great service, clean hotel and modern furnishings - despite the small rooms, they have been utilised well. Free parking is an extra bonus. .

Great stay. We stayed for 2 nights it was just what we needed, clean, cheap, comfortable, good shower and bathroom. Free parking and right in the middle of town. We'll stay again.

Although small, our room was exceptionally clean with modern furnishings. The staff could not have been more helpful & accommodating, especially as we made a last minute change request that we didn't expect they could act on, but they did. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We'd recommend sudima hamilton to anyone seeking central city accommodation at a great price! .
