Very handy to Claudelands Convention centre. Enjoyed our stay. Nice to come back after a long day & relax in a huge spa bath. Bed not comfortable though. Could do with a nice coat of paint to replace the old, outdated wallpaper that was uplifting in corners. Just for a clean fresher look. on checking out, duty manager was very polite. He made us WANT to come back. But checking in, the duty manager, made no eye contact, no conversation, she just handed keys over & gave us directions. Did not ask if we were interested in sky, wi-fi or breakfast. Like,she couldn't brush us off quick enough. I look for, service, comfort & spa bath. Nice modern room clean and tidy. Swimming pool great after hot day. Resturant closed though and like most motels in Hamilton a long way to find food

Checked in quite late, after 9 pm but was welcomed with good manner!,, the room was nice and fresh and the bathroom huge! The receptionist that morning was very helpful when asking for directions , will definately stay there again :)keep up the good job!

Our room was very spacious, but sorry to say the bed was terrible we had a poor nights sleep, it was so hard ,the matress cover was ripped with springs showing on the side. Also it had a huge spa bath but no plug and as it was quite early in the morning when we discovered this it was too late to do anything about it as we had to leave early, really a shame, was looking forward to soak especially after the back-breaker sleep .

Did not enjoy our stay at all. My husband has had 20 years in the hospitality industry and has never known for a Hotel to be shut on a public holiday, ie. no restuarant, room not serviced and reception shut. Informed them we were coming with baby and cot but still put in a room upstairs with no elevator. Black mould in the bathroom around the bath, one of the days the room was serviced but a half a cup of tea still left beside the bed, asked for snack off room service snack menu (approx 8 items) told they could only do 1 item as they did not have ingredients for anything else. We were there for a week and the sheets were not changed when they were obviously dirty (daughter had put hands on side of bed with burger ring crumbs still on her hands). the kettle leaked all over everything, tried to charge us twice for the accommodation, through travel bug and again upon checking out, security card stopped working had to walk in rain to get fixed. Our accommodation was confirmed (yay) then subsequently cancelled. Alcamo blamed Travelbug for a lack of training. We are not impressed. Motel owner was unsympathetic.
