Room is dated yes but it was huge! you would never get that size in a flash hotel. Used the spa and pool which was awesome. Lots of parking. I'd stay there again, excellent value for money. . 5KATIE BROWN - May 10, 2013 Travelbug verified review

Alarm clock went off at midnight and staff were very sympathetic. This hotel has no lift to its first floor which would have been a problem but staff switched rooms for us very quickly and without fuss.

Had a great stay, value for money. Timing was great as they were just upgrading the tv's. Agree decor could be improved and bathroom caused a damp musty smell, but overall would recommend.

Comfortable room albeit somewhat low key. Appointments adequate but tv could do with upgrading along with the sky channels. Facilities good and housekeeping up to scratch. Would definitely return.

Bed comfy, room pleasant. Decor could do with an upgrade as it doesn't compare with other kingsgate hotel stayed in the next night. Too many steps to negotiate with baggage - a lift would help. Staff very helpful, efficient and friendly.

Decor was old and in need of renovation. The tv made a high pitched noise when turned on so we very promptly turned it off again. However the bed was comfortable and the room served its purpose as a place to sleep.

The room was very tired, greatly in need of a refurbish, looks really tired and dirty. Breakfast was great, eat as much as you want. When booked in girl didn't know about being on ground floor as requested so had to change. When booking out was told had only paid for one night even thiough i had paid by visa online for both nights. Receptionist was insistant but i refused to pay an extra night and shoiwed her my online receipt which she copied still thinking i should pay for another night. I was not impressed and didn't even get an apology. Left very unhappy!! if possible if you read this i would like an apology in writing as this is very bad customer service and could put a lot of people off staying here again. Other than that, the rest of the stay was good. .
