Glentui Travellers Lodge is more akin to a small motel than a lodge, comprising two separate lodges, each of which is divisable into two individual rooms of various size and beds. It is situated midway between Hamilton city and Raglan at the small village of Glentui. The Lodge is built on a 5 acre block bordered by a stream on one side and the state highway on the other. The valley is named for the prolific Tui which feeds on the native flora. The village boasts a swimming pool and tennis court which is available to residents and their guests.
The central location means 30 minutes to either Raglan or TeAwamutu and even less to Hamilton or Ngaruawahia.
The stream and trees screen the lodge from the rest of the village, providing for a private and tranquil stay away from the hustle and noise of the city.

  • The place was easy enough to find and the owner welcoming. We stayed in the family room which was clean and well presented and came with sky TV. It is a quiet location a bit back from the main road so road noise is minimal. Apart from a slight musty smell (no sure how much use the place had before our stay) and the tube tv not displaying colours properly, it was perfectly adequate for our overnight stay. Had we have gotten there earlier we would have let some fresh air through. Truly unbeatable for the price 4

  • Made a booking nearly a month ago, tried phoning to confirm the same over a week ago (and every day since)to no avail. No matter what time of day (or night)I phoned it just rang, and rang. Even e-mailing is a waste of time. Thankfully I got a refund through the fantastic staff of TravelBug. It would have been a horrible start to the first family holiday if we had arrived at the address and found we had paid for nothing. 1

  • We arrived late due to traffic and our hosts looked after us well. Rooms were huge, clean and nicely decorated, the bed we slept in was firm yet comfortable and all the bedding was clean and well presented. We had the best night sleep out of our whole holiday. For the price, this place was outstanding, highly recommended!!!! 5

  • We got more than we expected from this property. The Family Unit we stayed in was very spacious, with a lounge area, sky TV and full size fridge in the kitchenette. The linen and paint was fresh. And there was a friendly cat to entertain our daughter. The lack of Vodafone reception turned out to be a blessing in descise, which made for a true getting away from it experience in this lovely quiet spot. Great value & we hope to stay again. 5
