STUDIO – Open plan with Queen bed, fully self contained with cooking facilities, private bathroom and private outside area. Continental breakfast included.

WEST WING - Self contained with 2 bedrooms (1 queen and 1 twin) lounge, kitchenette (microwave and fridge) dining area and bathroom. Private courtyard and parking. Continental breakfast included

A great escape, plenty of room in the west wing for our family of 4. We plan to come back as a couple sometime for a weekend without the kids!.

Great hosts, a lovely rustic property with no traffic noise. Studio was perfect, well appointed and a very comfy bed. Stayed one night but wish we'd had more time to stay longer, next time!.

Whould recommend this place if you wanted time out to de-stress. Very comfortable and relaxing. Further out than I expected, but no big deal. Could do with better signage at the gate and perhaps at the main road if it were possible.

Lovely studio great location close to town but so quiet and private to get away from it all. Love the flowers and fresh plums, comfy bed, will recommend and hope to come back some day.

Purnell house is a winner all around! the hospitality is top class and nothing is too much trouble. The date of our tournament changed and it was no trouble for the hosts to alter the date of our stay. Great stuff. The west wing is really very large, well thought out with plenty of small touches. It is extremely clean with the most comfortable beds. We had a superb stay will certainly be back for more of this rural retreat. Fantastic value too for a family, and the breakfast supplies were very generous. Thank you purnell house, our best stay in wairarapa for a long time. Cheers, jennifer and family.

A lovely comfortable stay. Loved the soft fluffy beds! The flowers were a nice touch. Definitely recommend for a quiet retreat. A light to show the drive in the dark could have been helpful.

The hosts were lovely. The studio was very clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was fine. There was a selection of cereals and also the option for low sugar jam. Trim milk would have been good too. But I never asked, so the hosts wouldn't have known that I preferred that to Blue. Lovely private location for a weekend away. I recommend Purnell house to everyone, great value for money.
