Margrain Vineyard Villas were created to please, tastefully decorated, each with its own individual style. We had a great time in the Margrain Vineyard Villas. The only thing that was under our expectation was the breakfast.

While we loved our weekend at Martinborough we felt that the units at Margrain were lacking in facilities that we would have got in an ordinary motel.Because we were there for the market it was not possible to participate in the complimantary wine tour. On a long weekend perhaps another could have been supplied. For $185 dollars per night a complimantary wine would have been great. Secondly the units had very tiny bench for even the prep of breakfast and no table. There is an outdoor table on the verandah but ours was too grubby to use. Not as inviting as the blurb on email. Generally ok clean and tidy but outdated and the bathroom had no extractor fan.Also lawns unmown leaving a scruffy look but having said that would still stay there again as it has a great outlook and not that far from town. Terry

The view is awesome. The walls are thin, so a bit noisy.

It was clean but the room was not well vented when we got there. It was really musty and very hot. The bathroom was a disappointment. The bed also did sag a bit. I paid $ 185 for one night and I thought that was a bit expensive. I would also not give it a 4 star rating. I would rate it 3 stars at best.

Lovely spot that's close enough to town to be handy, but far enough out to feel like you're in the middle of the country. Each Villa has a beautiful lookout onto paddocks and trees. Villa's are good size - if a bit dated. But clean and confortable. The continental breakfast was a bonus.

Nice peaceful location and good sized villas. Nothing flashy but very clean and tidy. Continental breakfast in the unit is a good touch. Have stayed before and will be back again.

We hadn't been to Margrain for years, but really enjoyed our nights accommodation on the way through to Napier. The units are clean, tidy and spacious and the outlook over the paddocks is superb. We're looking forward to visiting again soon.
