Moon over Martinborough

Nestled in a pretty valley just 5 minutes drive from the shops and restaurants of Martinborough's charming town square, 'Moon over Martinborough' is a homey rural paradise in the heart of Wairarapa wine country.

Our semi-detached, 3-bedroom guest wing has a private entrance and a guest lounge which overlooks the property's 20 acres. Sheep and cattle graze and a gorgeous olive grove beckons.

Continental breakfast provided. Vineyards, other olive groves and golf course nearby. No broadcast TV or radio.

The property is called 'Taha Awa' which means 'riverside'. No visit is complete until you've strolled through the olive grove, out the back gate, and down to the trout stream at our boundary. In the summer bring your togs and visit our swimming hole, where you can sit and watch the sun streaming down through the willows along the banks. Pack a picnic and make an afternoon of it, and be sure to bring your favourite Martinborough wine along!

After you've seen the beautiful trees in the olive grove, you might want to purchase some 'Moon over Martinborough ' olive oil to take with you as a souvenir. The mix of Frantoio and Leccino provides fragrant, grassy taste with a peppery finish. It's a perfect way to remember the tranquility and beauty of your stay long after you've left.
