The modern & conveniently located Astelia Apartment hotel is a Qualmark 4 star accredited hotel situated on trendy Willis Street, a five minute stroll to the shopping, dining and entertainment precincts in the heart of Wellington's Cuba quarter and Courtenay Place as well as Te Papa.
The hotel comprises 75 modern Studio and One Bedroom apartments as well as Chill Café, open daily. All apartments have fully equipped kitchens and laundry, electric blankets and windows that can open.
Car parking spaces are available at $17.50 per night but are limited so enquire directly.

Great location. Room was fine but very hot as no aircon and window only opened a little. Reception was a little brusque, we had no explanation given to us re swipe cards.no other helpful info was offered either. We had no soap supplied so had to ask, were reluctantly given 1 cake. Final day we ran out of milk, asked for more .was told housekeeping would bring some up but are still waiting... Overall pretty good, just had the impression that as we were on a special package that we were somehow less important than 'real' guests. Desk closes early so no .

Could not book in at 1pm so left our luggage and returned at 5.30 to find everything locked and no message of how to get into our room or access to baggage. A very stressful start to our 4 night stay as needing to get to a booked concert and not hassle the cleaning lady that we happened to spy through a back door. Reception closes at 5pm on weekends and 7pm weekdays apparently they could not contact us because we booked through travel bug which does not pass our contact details onto astelier. There was no notification of this on our booking confirmation. The button outside is still broken as i had ready in previous reviews so no luck there. Eventually we gained access and everything went smoothly from there on. Take note of this travel bug as it was a big one for us!!.

Very little to complain about - staff held our luggage until check-in time and until our flight left on the last day, and were friendly. Room could use some air-con as we were there during a wee heatwave, only window was a sliding door at the front but didnt do much to cool the bedroom area further back. Bed was comfy - extra powerpoints by bedside would be a bonus (phone chargers). Only real complaint is that we were given two swipecards for afterhours access, we went out for dinner and took one with us, arrived back late and it didn't work! the intercom button to the manager was broken, and the number listed for afterhours assistance just went to voicemail saying i'd called outside office hours. Luckily another guest arrived 20 mins later so we weren't stuck outside all night. The swipecard was very worn with plastic cracked and peeling. Other than that, great base in the city, was comfy and had all useful amenities. Would definitely stay again! thanks :).

Unfortunately when we arrived there was no record of our booking, despite us having a print out of it, but the receptionist very quickly contacted her superior, and within a very short space of time we were established in a very nice two bedroomed apartment about half a block down the road which was just fine.
