Very satisfied with cleanliness & service on $65 single room with share bathroom facilities. Desk staff really helpful. Two problems i drew to staff attention had been rectified when i stayed again 5 nights later. Easy walking distance to many activites & waterfront.

This hotel was just around the corner from most of the city and the waterfront. The hotel was very clean and organized, and the 24 hour reception was nice and friendly too. The one-man rooms were also a great stayover option. The elevator was an awesome old-style elevator with manual doors too. No complaints!.

Good value on the $85 en suite room and i would choose this one next time. Pleasant staff at reception, with useful advice. The water was only luke warm in the morning but this was a one-off, i believe. I parked my car in the side lane over night -which is free of course and much better than paying alpha for a night and having to get out by 6am.....

This is the place to stay in wellington! i cannot express how great it was to stay at the cambridge. The staff and rooms were fantastic! very warm rooms and lots of hot water =)) i will always tell people to stay at the cambridge if they go to wellington. The quality, price and staff can't be beaten aaa+++.

Nice staff!good location!maybe because of saturday, too noisy. No table at 4 bed dorm room. The lower bed is not comfortable because i can not sit on the bed straightening my back.

Well we had a lovely stay at the cambridge hotel.the double room, with ensuite was warm,very clean and comfortable.we found it was a great central location and would definitely stay there again.our only complaint was that the man at reception was not at all forth coming in offering any assistance to me as a person with a considerable physical disability having had polio as a child.we were told where our room was, on 1st floor and sent on our way without being told there was a lift.the lovely house keeping ladies noticed our struggle and one even took us up the lift and showed us to our room.we were so tired and i was in pain and i was so very grateful to these lovely helpful lady's.i think this man should take a leaf out of these girls book as he wasn't even busy at the time we booked in, it just seemed that he didn't particuarly care, which isn't really a good look for anyone front of house in any hospitality role. So, to you girls,you rock,and to that guy you need to pick up your socks!! thanks, mike.

Hi Mike, thanks for your feedback. I can assure you that all of our staff members care about our customers, after all our customers are the most important part of our business. Ideally we would love to show each guest to their room personally however some of the time this cant happen unfortunately. I am glad a member of our housekeeping team noticed this and reacted accordingly. I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us, and your room was clean and comfortable. Like the 24/7 service with the staff. Beautiful and well heated building. If anything wrong, perhaps the toilets could get cleaned more often.
