Bettina and Neville's German/Kiwi B&B Homestay (just 10 min driv to CBD, 15 m Ferry/ 20 m airport)offers you spectacular views from Seaview, Eastbourne to Wellington Harbour including Somes Island. Enjoy the views on our decks or relax in our garden with punga trees, native bush and flowers, listening to tuis and other native birds. We are situated between Khandallah and Johnsonville, 3 min drive to railway station, shops, restaurants, 5 min walk to Mt Kaukau track from where you have breathtaking views to the south island.
Having travelled the world Bettina and Neville enjoy the company of all nationalities: so come make yourself at home at 'A Great View'.

Potential guests should appreciate that this B&B is a long way out of downtown Wellington high in the hills above Johnsonville. A taxi from downtown Wellington will cost $35-40 NZD. A combination of 2 buses, or a bus and a train, will get you into downtown Wellington in the mornings but in the evening you will need to take a taxi from the train station in Johnsonville up to the B&B costing around $20NZD. The accommodation was clean but basic, no wardrobe or cupboard space available, no tea/coffee making kit in the room, no information pack on Wellington and public transport. Breakfast rather limited and lacked a personal touch. Hosts Neville & Bettina are a welcoming, interesting and charming couple. The location of our B&B is clearly indicated in the description, so are the public transport possibilities. 95 % of our guests arrive by(rental) car. Coffee and tea is available in our kitchen 24/7. The cooked breakfast and warm drinks are served individually. 99% of our guests choose our B&B because of the incredible views, quiet location, our cosy home and our great hospitality.
