Had problems with the initial room. Loud banging (pipes?) at 4:30 and 5 am served as an early wake-up call. The tv kept blinking.we were shifted to a new room the next morning and the banging stopped, however tv made a loud whistling noise which made it virtually impossible to watch. In spite of this my family had a good stay. The location was great, rooms comfortable and clean with modern bathrooms. The staff were excellent in dealing with our room issues. Not too happy with hefty parking fee, but we knew to expect this after reading others' reviews.

My husband & i and our 2 children had a fantastic stay. The rooms were very clean and cosy. Service was excellant. Breakfast was delicious and room service dinners great! we upgraded to a harbour view on the 10th floor which was fantastic, and you get free parking with upgrade!!!! great central position!! we will go back!.

Enjoyed my stay though there were some area's for improvement. I had a mystery stay which stated there was parking - it did not state that this was $28 a night! this may be easily fixed by stating that parking is available at a cost! only other fault was the room was not dark even in the middle of the night as curtains allowed in light and the alarm clock lit the room up. These two "faults" could easily be overlooked by the superb food, service, and location. Overall it was a very good place to stay though my budget would probably mean that returning is unlikely as the parking costs countered the reasonably priced room. Overall though iwould recommend it to others.

We had such a lovely time at novotel wellington! the welcome was warm, the room was great, new and fresh and tastefully refurbished. The only problem was the bathroom door squeaked but that was fixed as soon as we mentioned it. Breakfast was among the best we've had in a wellington hotel. We'll be back!.

It was a room with a bed, which is all we asked for. Book it as it was least expensive option. How ever most disappointed with travel bug. In comparing prices i looked at the parking costs, and on the secret sale it indicated parking. Only to find once i booked it was an additional $28. So it made it less price attractive. And then they could fit my car in so it sat in the loading dock and got parked in by others and we had to muck around waiting for cars to be shifted so we could get out.

Stayed last night on a secret sale and i wasn't disappointed.i love the new carpet in the rooms and the smell, and the room decor. I started with lunch and the fish was great but i thought the kebabs were average and maybe just heated up. Having said that the dinner was superb.the chicken meal spices were out of this world but i wish you could of added more mash.the deserts were great. Room service was the best i have received in a hotel so far. I ordered wedges and chips and a toasted sandwich and they put foil around them and they were piping hot amazing. I couldn't find enough room to have breakfast so we return just to have breakfast. The dining area is great and close to a lift which is really handy to lambton quay and the terrace. The laundry is just though panama street at their parent hotel very handy. The staff are really friendly and helpful and efficient. I ordered a icecream at lunch which normally is on lunch menu but the chef was great. I will return again on a sale. .
