Lake Paringa,ONLY 68 KLM SOUTH OF FOX GLACIER, a beautiful 50 minutes drive, is described as a jewel of the West Coast. Our lodge is situated on state Highway 6 on the shores of the Lake Paringa.
Centrally located 68 klm south of Fox Glacier and 50 Klm north of Haast in beautiful world heritage rainforest.
Popular with fishermen and hunters.
Affordable accommodation for travellers.
Motel, backpackers and van sites.
Our lodge is SELF CATERING, please bring your supplies. There is a supermarket in both Fox Glacier and Haast.

Our second time staying at Lake Paringa Lodge. There are so many great outdoor adventures to be had in South Westland and this lodge is an excellent place to base yourself, where at the end of a hard day you can relax in comfort. Fabulous holiday, lucked in with the weather. Comfortable lodgings and friendly staff, a great place to unwind and relax. Will get that salmon next time!!.

Very nice cottage and beautiful location. Exceeded expectation as it felt genuinely rural NZ. Sand flies only downside. Some distance from glaciers but well worth the drive. Next to road (however very quiet) so easy to get to

Another great stay at lake paringa lodge. Very comfortable and clean room and friendly services as well. Lake was nice and warm and my better half went for a great swim. One of the best collections of magazines i've ever seen in accommodation so some great reading.

It's a lovely setting with a comfortable unit in which one can prepare meals. Good to find fly spray handy to deal with unwanted guests! Very good service, relaxed but considerate hosts. Are recommending it to family and friends.

What a unique and lovely spot! our accommodation was clean and comfortable, the welcome was warm and the gardens and lake beautiful. We took our paddle boards out on the lake and had a memorable paddle. Recommended.

We recently spent two nights here and it was great place to break up the trip. Owner was very welcoming and had turned heater on prior to arrival.our unit had great view of the lake and we used the kayaks which added to our enjoyment of the place . Surprised there was no tv in the room and more surprised there was no laundry on site as would have happily fed coins into a machine to do washing as had just come back to nz from overseas. Lovely spot and will return again.
