The Scenic Hotel Franz Josef Glacier is a 4 star Qualmark rated hotel with an Enviro Silver Award and has 130 rooms, comprising 46 rooms in the Graham Wing and 84 in the Douglas Wing, the latter with desk space and balconies. Some special access rooms are also available. All rooms have a refrigerator, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and wireless internet access.

Stayed one 1 night (4 rooms). Nice hotel, comfortable and clean rooms. Toilets were quite clean and nice toiletries. Only negative was that kids could not find the TV channels they were looking for, but they were not bored. Friendly and helpful staff. 2 of our rooms were upgraded (so I was told) due to a mistake I made during booking. Definitely recommended.

We checked in at the front desk, and asked if we could enter our room early. At first, it wasn't possible, but then the attendant found a room ready to go. We appreciated his help with suggestions for dinner as well as wi-fi options. He was very professional and had a very helpful attitude. The room had a mini-bar and large flat screen TV.

Adequate room,comfy bed,very clean. Good value at $180 in Franz Josef but not worth $300+ that the room was discounted from.

A nice hotel,if slightly old,but i guess not as old as the glacier!the room was nice,if deceiving from the outside.we liked the cucumber and mint soap too!
