  • We spent two days and the staff were very good and need to be congratulated for there efforts.how ever the accomadation needs a revamp as soon as possible as the rooms need attention urgently. Such a great setting the hotel needs to attract the customers with great rooms and good service. However they need to revise the breakfast price urgently. $18 .00 for continental is well over priced and not value for money. Not good ,also no fridge in the room ,a must for the travellers on the road. . 1

  • Located in a prime position after a spectacular journey from queenstown, this hotel offered everything we needed as an overnight stopover. Welcomed by friendly and attentive staff who gave additional sound advice about the surrounding area, we were then left to our own devices - perfect! had dinner in the bar which was good food and great value topped off with good local ale and a roaring log fire. Room was comfortable, quiet and not too expensive. In short, if you're looking to break up the journey heading either way on the west coast the heritage hotel provides an ideal solution!. 5

  • Friendly staff, rooms clean and looks like refurbishing slowly. Being in Haast no cell coverage and limited tv access expected. Fridge shared by visitors in kitchenette was fine. Only issue our ranchslider was stuck lucky I have a strong husband who could open it nothing a spray of WD40 couldnt fix. 5

  • We stayed at the Heartland World Heritage Hotel on Christmas Eve and were very pleased with our room and provided services. Rooms were clean, Service at restaurant and bar very friendly. Food was of very good standard. The provided hotel info kit explains that there are no fridges in the rooms due to the fact that hotel is not part of the main power supply grid because of the remote location. 5

  • We have arrived late in the evening so we have not got chance to try out the restaurant. We went to the bar next door to get the room key, the staff at the bar was very friendly. The food there was fantastic. The grilled chicken dish was one of the best I ever had, the seafood chowder was very nice too. The main entrance of the hotel looks very nice and the room itself was average. In general, the food and service were great, and is okay with the room itself. Just a little sidenote, there was no (vodafone) mobile coverage in the area so there was no way to make mobile phone call or Internet access (using mobile device). 5

  • Not good, the meals were shocking and the fact that they had closed of the restaurant and reception area didn't help much should have been advertised that all meals were in the bar . We were looking forward to a posh nosh and posh getaway we only do it once a year, so this was very diappointing. Staff very friendly and helpful........and yes definatly need a fridge in the room that long life milk is ..Yuk........ 1
