We offer the best location for West Coast hotel accommodation. Our unique and convenient location on the beach and in the centre of Hokitika means beachcombing, shopping artisan galleries and service stores are all at your doorstep.
We have a wide range of accommodation in two VERY DIFFERENT wings to suit your needs. Both offer access to the beach and the vibrant arts centre in Hokitika.
Our 4 star, luxury Ocean View Wing is just steps from the beach. The wing was designed so every room has a dramatic view of the ocean and the sunset can be enjoyed from your courtyard or balcony.
Our 2.5 star Driftwood Wing offers simple, comfortable accommodation that backs onto a main street of town. Please note these rooms do not have an ocean view.
Our food matches our dramatic beachfront location. Try a gourmet meal at our Ocean View Restaurant and Wine Bar and dine overlooking the ocean or relax in our comfortable Driftwood Cafe. Enjoy the local Monteith's at the Coasters Bar. Event facilities, observation lounge and bottle store.
Hokitika is the perfect town to base yourself during your stay on the West Coast. It is only 3 hours drive from Christchurch, 90 minutes from the Franz Josef Glacier and 60 minutes from Punakaiki's Pancake Rocks. We also have easy access to local attractions such as Shantytown and Monteith's Brewery.

Loved our stay! very nice staff. Beautiful well appointed rooms. Huge comfortable bed and lovely linen. Great bathroom with underfloor heating. Stunning rooms ,very modern, such a pleasure to walk into the bathroom with the underfloor heating. Stunning view even though the weather was rain and wind was lovely to walk into our unit and the heating had been put on was beautiful will definatelybe back to stay. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Enjoyed our 2 nights stay. Great location, comfortable room and great view over the ocean. We were late arriving on friday night but staff were great with getting us a meal which was great. Would stay here agin.

Great hotel, comfortable, clean and a great view. We saw dolphins from the balcony in the morning.only disappointment was the meal in the dining room, which was average and expensive for what it was.

Fabulous view out onto the ocean listening to the waves crashing on the shore, peaceful and room was perfect for what we wanted. Restuarant food was great so much to choice from. Service and attitude to customers (especially international ones) could improve.

We stayed for one night 18th may and would stay there again. Lovely rooms and nice sitting on balcony with a beer looking out at sea.thought the food was great with friendly staff and watched the crusaders have another win in the main bar with the locals. Would stay there again for sure.
