Welcome to Charming Creek Bed and Breakfast - winner of TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence 2011 and 2012 thanks to wonderful reviews by our guests!
We are a stylish yet moderately priced beach Bed and Breakfast. We are 20 minutes north of Westport at Ngakawau Beach, across the park from the main entry to Charming Creek Walkway. Charming Creek Walkway is rated in the top 5 of daywalks in the South Island (see our website http://www.bullerbeachstay.co.nz) for details and photos.
We also have an oceanside freshwater hot tub across the road on our private beach land. It sits in its own giant flax nature garden, under a roofed outside area with a woodfired stove and a 1950's retro caravan which we use as a dressing shed/daybed and reading area. This whole area is candlelit when booked for nighttime use.
The Hot tub must be booked in advance as it is freshwater filled and custom heated via driftwood or LPG just for you - no power! very ecofriendly!!!! For hot tub prices and our special Charming Creek Luxury Walk Packages, please send us an enquiry and we'll respond as soon as we can.
All of our suites have ensuite bathrooms (i.e. private bathrooms in your room - rooms are double glazed, insect screened and heated - two open out via french doors on to sunny garden decks looking out towards the ocean.

We took the two Night Charming Creek Walking Package - fab breakfast, gourmet lunch plentiful and delicious, missed out on the pub after a six hour walk to the end of the Walkway and back ( would only go as far as Watson's Mill next time)divine soak in the quirky hot tub and the delicious three course meal after that. Mmmmm the lemon pudding was perfection. Highly recommend the whole experience. Loved the history, insightful info, the books and the recommendations of where to go and what to see and the quirky sense of humour. Thank you Gay. A lovely room with a huge comfortable bed and nice en suite. All very clean. Gay, the owner is very friendly but aware of not invading her guests space. She provides a lovely continental breakfast with freshly made coffee.

This was a very welcome retreat after a long day driving. The house was tidy and cosy, and the host was incredibly accomodating, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Very impressed, very happy with the service and accomodation, and reasonably priced too.
