22 Chapel Street, Russell
Bellrock is on the hill overlooking the bay and the lovely village of Russell. From your en-suite room and private patio you can see the activity of the village and watch boats of every description passing by. Bellrock is only a 5 minute stroll to the passenger ferry and the village with its cafes, restaurants, shops and bars. We have off street parking for our guests, one car per room.
Each room has its own private entrance. There are French doors leading out of your room onto your private patio where you can enjoy pre-dinner drinks while watching the most spectacular sunsets. The rooms can either have twin beds (2 singles) or a super king. So if you are coming on a male/female only weekend. we can accommodate 8 guests on separate beds. The rooms have Freeview TV, DVD player, Radio/CD/iPod, air conditioner, two leather recliners, a table and two chairs, with another table and chairs on the patio and a kitchenette. Spacious bathrooms consist of shower, toilet, bidet, two hand basins, heated towel rail and heater.
For the exclusive use of our guests we have on the 1st floor a lounge/dining room and bar. A continental and cooked breakfast is served here, at an additional cost. Facilities include SKY TV, DVD and sound system. On the patio adjoining the dining room you have the use of a barbecue.
There is a lot to do in an around Russell. There are two beaches within walking distance and a number of other beaches a short drive away. From Russell wharf you can join any of the dolphin/whale watching boats or "Hole in the Rock" boat. If fishing is your thing we have a number of fishing charters operating out of Russell. If you would like to do a bus trip to Cape Reinga or spend an hour or two in Paihia a passenger ferry leaves Russell on a regular basis.
We have a number of historic buildings that are worth a visit. There are a number of walking tracks in and around Russell, from easy to taxing.
