152 Teal Valley Hira Nelson
RETIRO PARK LODGE, Nelson's finest boutique Bed and Breakfast. At the top of New Zealand's South Island, just fifteen minutes from Nelson, is the perfect all season's escape and we believe your best choice for accommodation in the area.
Retiro Park Lodge offers friendly, personalyzed, memorable accommodation in an oasis of quiet country luxury: Surrounded by an extensive garden, in a 90-acre park-like property, nestled amongst hills and sitting along the river in beautiful Teal Valley, but minutes away from Nelson City's bustle. The property rears Llamas and Alpacas that roam freely in the paddocks surrounding the lodge and also has its own producing vineyard, olive and almond groves. Our Bed and Breakfast is a destination on its own and the perfect base to explore the region's most sought after attractions: it is within easy reach for day excursions from “The Abel Tasman”, “Kahurangi” and “Nelson Lakes” National Parks and “The Marlborough Sounds” and its wine growing region.
At Retiro Park Lodge, We provide guests with a delicious gourmet breakfast that is served in the ivy covered conservatory, using the best local produce, as well as from our own vegetable garden: freshly squeezed juice and fruit, muffins straight from the oven, local smoked salmon, free range bacon, eggs from our chicken coop… Dinner is highly recommended and possible by prior arrangement, especially on your arrival day, or after a busy day exploring beautiful Nelson.
Retiro is Spanish for retreat, and is also the name of a beautiful park in Madrid, that was a royal hunting lodge belonging to the Habsburg dynasty, and located near where your hosts once used to live. We invite you to stay at Retiro Park Lodge to relax, unwind and enjoy a little piece of paradise while you visit Nelson. You'll be feeling right at home and well looked after. You will also have the opportunity of meeting the extended family of Llamas, Alpacas, miniature Horses, Donkeys, our Weimaraner Flavia and Becky the cat.
At Retiro Park Lodge we look forward to giving you your most memorable stay in Nelson and in a New Zealand Bed and Breakfast.
