Runciman Berries and Emus Bed and Breakfast is a farmstay with a difference! Here friendly emus graze in the paddocks and guests can feed them and admire their chicks which hatch between August to October. A horse, rabbits, chickens and a Labrador dog complete the picture. Visitors who stay when the berry harvest is at its peak in December and January, can pick their own boysenberries or raspberries.
This quiet and friendly family farm, run by Sven and Jana, is a rural delight just a 30 minute drive from the heart of Auckland city and 25 minutes from the airport. Overlooking a peaceful green valley, it offers a spacious double or family (triple)B&B spa guest room. The newly established "Villa Emu" has its own road entrance, outdoor fire place, dinning table, BBQ and outdoor bath tub for the romantic or adventurous.
