  • Almost like a home away from home. Travelers from every country, working or looking for work while enjoying NZ.The boss and staff are happy to help you in your search for work and even go so far as to drive you to and from your workplace. The boss loves fishing,so,if its a spot of fishing your after or a mellow chill out in a clean, safe, convenient location then Kericentral hostel is where you should head for. 5

  • Manager let me use one of his bike wheels for free as my own had a flat and the only bike shop in town was closed on that day quite unusually. i really appreciate the kindness. also, he arranged me to rent the van of another traveller-tenant to move my belongings from auckland to kerikeri, and that saved me some bucks and made the van owner happy too! 5

  • Loved my stay at kericentral! sign in was easy, just give your name and booking number, i had not managed to print my form, but no problem. Great location, not noisy at night, lovely people, you are given sheets, pillows and blanket. I had no problems about space (ie lack thereof) either in kitchen or bathroom! they went out of their way to be helpful: first they asked the other guests if someone would give up their bottom bunk for me (successfully, too!) and later, as i had left my keys behind they couriered them back to me free of charge!! thanks so much! will definitely stay again! . 5

  • Travelling solo and without a car I was happy with accom as it was close to shops and the Intercity/Northliner stop. Room/bed was most comfortable. My only complaint was the noise of the kitchen door opening and closing at right angles to my door and noise/scratching etc as folk moved through a tight space.I wondered if I would get any sleep. After 10 pm music was switched off and all went quiet. My fears allayed and I would recommend to budget travellers. 4

  • Thanks for your review Greg. I take note of your comment re an extra Bathroom ! We have already made plans for extra facilities. A lot of our guests are overseas visitors who do seasonal work in local orchards etc and all finish work around the same time and want showers at the same time after a hard days work. Kind regards Kericentral

  • Lyn and I (Jim) stayed four nights and had a great time; Tony is a friendly guy. The loo got bunged up and he got onto it right away, very impressed. He always shared his fish catch with all, great BBQ. We stayed in the double room with en-suit, very comfortable, WiFi always available and at a fast speed. Keri Keri opportunity shops always good, there are three of them. Kitchen is kept clean most of the time, being a “backpackers” style, we all helped one another. The conversation in the ‘air’ is sometimes German, or French, or? It’s all good fun. 5

  • A boutique backpackers for about 20. Mostly young internationals here for fruit picking. I had a double bed with ensuite, which was fresh and clean, and very comfortable. Communal kitchen, swimming pool, wireless. Two minutes to the centre of Kerikeri, movies, restaurants. I'm over 60 and would stay there again no problem. 5

  • Tony who runs the hostel is amazing, so helpful with everything! It feels like a "homey" place, small and sort of intimate. The only downside is that the kitchen is usually very busy in the evening and that there's only one shower, but plan around that and it'll be great! 4

  • Staff are great making guests feel at home and helpful with information. House is clean and comfortable. Very low-key charming little town with activities available if desired. I have to say though that when the fuzzy sheets and blanket wear out you might think about getting the plain cotton kind, then guests won't have lint all over everything. 4
