  • I agree one of the worse motels we had stayed in. Very noisy between the trains / motorway. Everything felt sticky from cooking or something, smelt, generally awful. Never again. . 1

  • One of the worse motels we had stayed in. Very noisy between the trains / motorway and the other guests upstairs who we had to ask to be quiet at 2am! did not sleep at all. The louvers etc in the kitchenette were very mouldy. No smoking policy except that the other clients used the box outside our unit for smokes. Whole unit smelled of smoke. Will never stay there again, not worth the cheapish price. 1

  • I am aware that this was a 'no frills' motel due to the reduced rate, however ... I booked and paid in advance for three adults to stay for one night ... When we arrived, the room was only serviced for two ... Two plates, cups, glasses, cutlery and linen etc. Upon informing the hotel manager, his 'casual' response was firstly not to believe that i had booked for three, secondly to suggest that i go to the community kitchen?' to collect extra crockery and cutlery ... It didn't seem to register to him that we would still be without a bath towel etc.?, after further discussion, i was finally given the third set of mismatched utensils / linen we were rightfully entitled to in the first place! we will not be returning to the motel and i won't be recommending it. . 1

  • Found family unit was really not a good layout, single beds where in the lounge so very hard to get kids to bed, i would change it a round like most places we have stayed. But the big thumbs down is the ants.. Had got some food and when out for 10 minutes ants all over food... Would not rec-amend to a family . 1

  • Booked for 3 people, had to go and ask for 3rd towel. Room was cold (we arrived after a huge downpour) and asked for a heater, which was brought to our room ... it didn't work. No frills room, with beside wall lampo completely missing, duvet over bottom sheet so you became uncovered if you moved too much. Bathroom was disabled unit - the drain hole couldn't cope with the amount of shower water and floor totally flooded. Hairdryer in bathroom right beside handbasin and fell in when the screw came out of the wall when we went to use it. 3 mugs, but only 2 plates made dinner interesting. Easy to find, parking was good and free ... so the rate of $99 for the 3 or us was reasonable. Pity the details let them down.ok for a quick stop if you are just wanting somewhere to put your head down after a long day (or hard night). 1

  • Very ordinary, very noisy (motorway, railway) and basic for the price. Reception closes at 10.00pm so if your plane is late that's a problem too. 1

  • We only stayed one night. The bed mattress was very uncomfortable and we were unable to sleep. The sliding door of the room above us needed to be fixed as it screeched everytime someone opened it. The dust on the top of the wardrobe was creaping down the sides in a brown mass. I had to ask for toilet paper. The lino in the bathroom did not meet to shirting board and there was a layer of dirt in a gap. Very disappointed in the condition of the motel. Can not recommend this motel to anyone and will definately not return. 1

  • Room was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly. Only complaint is that there is no aircon so it was a bit hot but wasn't really a problem as we were out during the heat of the day. 5

  • Accomodation is pretty basic, and the beds rather uncomfortable - but the place was clean, central to New Market and only a short distance to the city and to a local supermarket for incidentals. Fine for a short stay when on a budget. As a single woman staying on her own, I felt safe which was important to me. Check was quick and easy and staff friendly. Would stay there again. Only thing to note is that they do not clean the units each day if staying multiple nights - however when I asked about it, they said they would be happy to do it on request. 5

  • Disappointed with room which was very tired and need of a spruce up. Lamp shade above bed had melted with the heat of the lamp. No complementary milk in fridge, had to ask for each morning. Had wooden pallets stored outside the room I was in which were leaning against the wall. Gardens badly needed weeding. Actually the whole place needed a darn good clean up. I Wont be back 1

  • We booked a family room for 6 for two nights. It was CRAP!!! Room and bedding arrangement requested was not provided, small rooms, no kitchenette (despite what was booked), microwave dirty, rooms stale (and not really clean), spider shared our bed, and manager refused refund so we could check out and find somewhere decent. We won't be back. 1

  • We booked ahead for three nights but ended up moving out on the first night. We had an adjoining suite as we were two adults x3 kids. Was too small for our family. We asked for room with 2 double beds in the same room and were therefore disappointed when we got there to find an adjoining suite. We also needed a kitchen which we thought was the suite that we had booked. If you stay there make sure you ask for what you want before you get there. We had hoped to get refund for at least one night even though we had requested that on the first night but was told that we couldn't get a refund as we had already paid for it. Would definintely would not go back. 1

  • Spent 3 nights using adjoining rooms as an extended family unit. Rooms were well serviced and more than adequate for our needs. Accessibility to inner Auckland a big plus and rates charged were very economical 5
