The Northerner Hotel
  • Filthy room, unclean cups and glasses, no spare wall plug points. Nobody cared to guide us to the room. It took us 10 mins to find proper security gate for entrance. Won't recommend to anyone to stay there. 1

The Northerner Hotel
  • It seemed like there were no other guests for a very large hotel. The only staff members i saw were at reception at check-in and check out. Friendly and efficient service. Our rooms were adequate but quite tired with very dated decor. Tv reception very poor in rooms. 1

The Northerner Hotel
  • Staff were friendly but unfortunately that's were it ends. Rooms were very outdated, musty and dusty. Bathroom had pubic hairs still in the shower, coffee cups were filthy and only place to wash them was the bathroom sink. The restaurant was never open, the bar was dark and dusty with no outdoor area anywhere in the hotel. Very disappointing. 1

The Northerner Hotel
  • The room was about average maybe a little on the small side in the bathroom. The decor was dated and the bed was very uncomfortable which I put down to its age. The hours of the restaurant was not customer friendly, it did not open until 7am for breakfast so early starters were left with breakfast. I checked in the afternoon and then went to Cape Reinga, getting back at 9.30pm and found the restaurant was closed, so it was down to Burger King to get something to eat. If you want bare bones basic accommodation, then this is ok. 5
