Enjoy a different look at Rotorua on-board the Lakeland Queen, the only stern wheel paddle boat and large cruising vessel operating on the iconic Lake Rotorua. With two deck levels that can accommodate up to 200 seated guests in comfort, the cruise offers a truly unique dining experience.

The Geothermal Lake & Dining Cruise options include Breakfast, coffee, lunch and sometimes dinner options. Departing from the Rotorua Lakefront visitors can enjoy spectacular lake views only accessible by boat including the mystifying geothermal area of Sulphur Bay with its milky white lake water, the bird sanctuary of the volcanic rock lave dome known as Mokia Island and reflective views of the city centre. • The food was a bit mediocre Not the easiest of meats to eat in a hurry, would have much preferred to see a sliced meat option to go with what was on offer Dessert too was disappointing - needed cream or ice cream to finish it off. Finally, it would have been great to have hot and cold drinks served at the table, as we ran out of time to even get one. 4

  • Very relaxing cruise but not long enough for the money. I thought it went around the island which would have been good. Also by the time we got our hot breakfast the egg was cold. 4

  • Excellent onboard service, great range of salads, veges, meats and desserts for lunch. Tip for you - sit downstairs. Its quieter and you are served by the fantastic helpful and friendly staff before all the other passengers. Highly recommended. Just wish it was about 30 minutes longer. 5
