Situated up a tree lined driveway, The School House offers peaceful, unique, self contained self catering accommodation for 1-3 people, no noisy passing vehicles,and only a 5 min drive to Te Awamutu
Situated down a dead end road it has beautiful views of the garden and surrounding countryside, with the abundant bird life you can sit back and enjoy the peace and quiet, and relax as you listen to the birds.
Built in the 1880's and operational as the Mangapiko school until 1939, it has a character, and history of its own. It has been renovated sympathetically to keep its history alive with its antique furniture, and nick nacks, making it the ideal base to explore the area. Just off SH3 and only 20 minutes from the boutique town of Cambridge with its many shops and cafes. Lake Karapiro, Hobbiton and the glow worm caves all a short distance away. Mount Pirongia and Mangatautari offer bush walks.
