This great old woolshed is now a great place to stay when visiting the South Coast of Wairarapa!

With plenty of open space to relax - inside and out, and a fireplace to keep you cozy on cooler nights, this woolshed still has all the charm from its 'working' days. The woolshed has all the basic amenities you need for a weekend away - including all kitchen equipment and crockery.

An open plan environment that comfortably sleeps 9 this is the ideal stop for those venturing the Rimutaka Cycle Trail or just wanting a weekend away from it all! This peaceful and beautiful environment is ideal.

Approx 30 Minutes from other great Wairarapa towns - Martinborough, Greytown, Lake Ferry, Featherston.

Located 6kms from the majestic South Coast: Ocean Beach - pack a rod or bring your quad!

Take a walk on the block of land around the woolshed and enjoy all that the New Zealand landscape has to offer - great views, native forest, beech forest, pine forest, rolling paddocks and stunning birdlife.

Simply. A great spot.

  • A much welcomed over night stop on our two day cycle adventure from the Hutt Valley, over the Remutaka Incline Track, and then back around the coast to Wellington harbour and the Hutt Valley. We experienced all four seasons, including a hail storm, complete with thunder and lightning 10 km out from the Woolshed. So the awesome hot shower and pot belly stove, complete with dry firewood, were much welomed. We had a relaxing stay in the Woolshed. Excellent coomunivation prior to our trip. Great, also to be welcomed on arrival by Rachel. Also good to chat to Myles the following morning about how they have turned a derelict woodshed into great accommodation, with everything you need without being unnecessarily 'flash'. Thanks for really adding to our great cycling adventure. 5

  • Thanks Stu - really appreciate your feedback, and glad you enjoyed your night at the woolshed. I hope the rest of your trip back to NZ was awesome and amazing - especially your Alps to Ocean epic! Regards, R & M.
