YES WE ARE OPEN for interactive alpaca farm tours to Wairarapa residents only during Covid 19 Alert Level 3.

Tours will be small (no more than 6 people who belong in the same bubble). BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL. For Covid 19 contact tracing we ask that you provide your name, residential address and contact details in the Comments section of the booking. Once we receive and accept your booking no-one outside of your “bubble” will have a booking accepted during that time-slot. The tours take place outside and physical distancing is easy. Handwashing is required and facilities are available. A Worksafe Covid-19 safety plan is available for inspection on arrival.

Take the opportunity to get out and about in a safe, outdoor environment by booking a tour from Monday 27 April 2020.

For a wonderful animal experience, take a 1.5 hour guided interactive alpaca farm tour where you'll discover the amazing alpaca.

Meet our mums and their babies, and the majestic males.

Alpacas are very gentle, so you'll be able to get up close and personal to our friendly alpacas! Take an alpaca for a walk!

Discover a little about alpacas and the Wairarapa connection to their arrival in N.Z, and then to the western world.

See a unique NZ designed alpaca shearing table and chat about how shearing alpacas is different to shearing sheep.

Feel the gorgeous soft fleece of alpaca and enjoy browsing a range of alpaca products in our on farm store.

Guided tours only. Tours are available Friday-Wednesday at 10.30 am and 1.30pm. Closed Thursdays. We recommend a morning tour during summer months when the days are hot and burn time is short. Sturdy, weatherproof footwear recommended (eg no open jandals or sandals; gumboots in winter).

Please note children 15 years and older are charged at adult prices.

  • It was a great experience to meet in person the Alpacas & know their history. The staff are good and welcomed us well. My partner & I enjoyed it so much. It’s not just for young kids but it’s also good for adults too. Keep it up. 5

  • NZ certainly had a very large part to play in seeing alpacas move away from their native South America. Something we should all be proud of. Thanks for the 5/5.

  • A lot of things were explained nicely here to get the differences between the genders and how farming alpaca is handled as also the actual history of the alpaca and where they are coming from in first place. Aside being a farm, they have since few pets as well, you can take a walk with. 4

  • From paddock to the ball of wool, an informative journey for my wife the knitter and myself. Neck wrestling males, spitting females and crea (alpaca babies)showing off. An experience for new Zealanders that want to know how a new industry was created and developed from the 1980's. 5
