  • Clean, comfortable and with good parking. Very convenient for us as we were only one evening Wellington - this was easy enough to find and very easy to find SH1 North from here. Also it was only a few minutes walk from Cuba Street where we had a lovely meal in a quirky bar restaurant called the Laundry 4

  • Staff were friendly, our room was certainly dated but comfortable, on the cuba st side so noise wasn't an issue. (apart from the water system made an incredible noise when refilling the toilet cistern!) i agree about the parking - we had a station wagon that definitely didn't fit into some of the parks. So close to town though and that's why we booked here. Would stay here again maybe - for it's convenience factor only. 5

  • Very dated and parking very difficult to negotiate. Not impressed. 1

  • Good value for the location and free car parking(although the undercover parks were very close to each other). A bit dated and corridor smelled. Not sure what the dining room is meant to be as it was a bit of a jumble in there. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Shower was not up to standard and needed a new mixer as we could barely turn the old one off. Close to upper cuba street and our side of the building was quiet at night(cuba st side). 5

  • A bit old and tired, dripping taps. The cooked breakfast was not worth the high price. Close to the city though, and very friendly. 1

  • This place has deteriorated since a visit several years ago. The rooms are tired and the exterior is untidy. The dining room has been converted into a laundry room - there was a huge amount of laundry there and it was difficult to get access to the guest laundry which was shared with the motor inn staff. On the plus side it is handy to the inter islander - only a 15 minute drive to the terminal. I would not stay here again. 1

  • Alas, this poor accommodation offering is well past its time for renewal (probably missed the last renewal, too - 7 years ago). It is showing its age and is in sad shape, with the rooms in desperate need of renovation. Noise levels on the north facing side are so bad that wearing earplugs is a requirement if you want a chance of sleep. Staff are generally friendly but i had my doubts if my bed linen was even cleaned before i slept in the bed. I suspect this place might be considered 'value' if you paid less than say, $80 per night, but anything more than that is money better spent elsewhere. 1
