The Victoria Hotel is centrally located in the heart of the Dunedin city. It is right next to the Cadbury Chocolate World, one minute walk to the George Street, five minutes walk to the Octagon or Railway Station or Dunedin Hospital, and within 20 minutes walk to the new Forsyth Barr Stadium.
The hotel is newly refurbished with 41 rooms which comprise of Deluxe Studio rooms, Deluxe Kitchen Units, One-bedroom Unit, Two-bedroom Penthouse and Victoria Hotel Suite.
It features a glass-walled lift to the fourth floor giving an excellent view over our beautiful city.
The Victoria Hotel provides 3 Function venues available for conferences, business meetings, wedding receptions and any special events. The hotel restaurant is opening from 7am - 10 am for breakfast and 6pm - 8pm for dinner daily. The bar is also available from 7am till late.
Access to the Hotel is via Cumberland Street, oneway system from the south or from St Andrew Street from the north which has secure off-street car parking. Our reception hours is from 7am to 10pm daily and a duty manager and/or night porter is available during the night.

My wife and i stayed at the victoria for 3 nights in may, 2013. We were on a travelbug deal which was incredibly good value. The hotel is a little dated, but was clean and comfortable, and is wonderfully situated, only 5 minutes walk from all the shops and the octagen, and probably 15 minutes walk from the university. It is also minutes away from two huge supermarkets, and the cadbury factory. The complimentary breakfast which came with our deal was comprehensive and lovely, and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. We had a fab time staying here. The staff are to be congratulated for their attention to detail and nothing was too much trouble.the location was great and the room clean, warm and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again and will be recommending to all.

Great central location, the room was comfortable and great value. The staff were friendly. I would not recommend the restaurant based on my experience. The service was slow and the meal was average to poor. I would definitely stay again and eat elsewhere.

Awesome deal - thoroughly enjoyed our night; the staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating to our needs. Fabulous breakfast we enjoyed the following morning. Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were helpful. Everything was a short walk away. Nandos next door was great. We did mention alarm clocks - but just a reminder - sometimes people set clocks and they are still set after they leave and trying to find and turn it off is not much fun. All clocks should be checked and alarms turned off. Ta.

The victoria was convenient for the city centre, quiet and with helpful and friendly staff. My room was comfortable and well equipped. I did not eat there so cannot comment on the food. I would be happy to stay there again.

Good location. Helpful staff, bathroom good. Only thing is do they sterilise the cups once the person leaves as we only rinsed out, no cloth to dry. Otherwise a great stay in your lovely city.

Good location, room is excellent and clean. Staff at the hotel are excellent and very helpful, with the free wi-hi available, this made our stay at the hotel a much enjoyable one.
