  • I was with a group that stayed at the Top 10 Holiday Park in 2009. A lovely setting but unfortunately the owner Andre is not a very nice host. He was short tempered with the kids and very gruff. We hired the pedel cars and h stalked around the camp ground with his clipboard and stopwatch kicking them off the second they used their time. This was despite nobody else using them. They are not cheap. Also watch your bill. He tried to charge us an extra person and lost his rag when this was pointed out to him. Spoke affrikaans in front of me to his wife when discussing the bill which I found to be offensive and disrespectful as I didn't have a clue what was being said. Very rude and spoilt what was othewise a great trip to the River City

  • Hi Nick Some people like us and other do not, but we can not be all to everybody. We love groups who can respect property and rules. We love groups who enjoy our facilities. We get groups who spoil it for themselves and others to. We do write down times when trikes are hired. There are rules that trikes may not go near cars and buildings, stay on the roads and do not smash and crash. We are not responsible for injuries, but are always near with a first aid kid in case of an genuine accident. We also try to prevent injuries when people behave outside the rules. The park is 3.5ha and it is not nice to chase somebody misbehaving on a trike when I am on foot. It is a task we have to do, so other people do not have to fear a not dissiplined rider. If I was out there with the clipboard to chase someone, it will be because of misbehaviour, but it seems your thoughts are also, when there is not a queue for the trikes, you can have it for long as you want? Not cheap to what?

  • Hi, I am manager for a mixed hockey team from Opunake High School. We are competing in a Tournament week in Wanganui as indicated by our dates above. Could you please indicate to me accommodation availablity and cost. Our group would be 15/16 high school students and 4/5 adults. The houses you list on your website sound most suitablew for groups such as this. regards, Sharon Arlidge

  • A lovely cabin, veer clean. However I love my heat and the heater that was there was basic. All of NZ I thought didn't want much for central heating. In summer this place would be brill. Mongolian (?) restaurant in town is great and very reasonable.

  • All new units in future will come with heat pumps and we are investigating the same for current units. At $2000 a unit installed not to cheap, but it will be there soon!!! Thank you for your genuine response.
