Comments about this property

  • I like the lodge very much. Nicely decorated, clean and cozy, toilet is spotlessly clean. Reasonable price, good service. There's a Chinese take away in the town down 10 mins walk away, which serves good food. You can even bring own seafood (like mussel, fish from the New World supermarket nearby) for them to cook. Very yummy. No regret to go all the way from Auckland. Definitely worthy visiting!

  • Fantastic location - can recommend the cafe next to the Takeaway on the corner! Parking right outside the unit. The unit itself very clean and had everything at your fingertips. Biggest bonus within walking distance to the very upmarket Pub. Would recommended to everyone.

  • Wow, wonderful house and hosts!! brilliant pool side and spa! I Will Be Back! The bird entertains very well. The rooms are very clean, and there were lots of things to see and do around the area. The brochures out the front were great, very helpful! We iliked the patisserie and the Morison James tour. I think i will bring my friends next time to stay in the upstairs unit it looks very nice (the cleaners must be very professional)!! :) and to go on the wine tour!! Thanx so much Jorgia! xxx

  • Stayed in unit 3 for 2 nights.... very disappointing. I is clean and the appointments are very nice but the room lay out and installation of furniture etc are horrid. The sofa faces the bathroom not the TV which is up on top of a useless closet (no hangers or hooks) along with the audio equipment such that to put in a disk many would have to stand on a chair. The micro wave is so low one must get on his or her knees to see what you are doing. The "hob" is a 2 burner hot plate. The toilet is small and so close to the wall that one must sit on it diagonally. The entire bath room is basically a large shower room with toilet and a very nice glass wash vessle. The room faces a parking lot with no view whatsoever. The unit is apparently supposed to accomodate handicapped, but there's no way a wheel chair could manuever in there and there are no grab bars for safety in the toilet area. It is clean and convenient to the village but at best it is like staying in a luxury caravan.

  • Had a lovely 2 nights at the lodge. Was wanting a quiet get away from Auckland and I got just that. My room was very clean and the facilities were great. Lots of things to see and do close by.
