Peppers Bluewater Resort is a scenic two-and-a-half hour drive between Christchurch and Queenstown, within the MacKenzie Country Basin on the foreshores of beautiful Lake Tekapo.

Inspired by the lake's characteristic turquoise-blue hue, the resort comprises of 131 stylish studios and one, two and three bedroom villas, all with essential modern comforts. Timber and leather textures reflect the earthy tones of Mount Cook National Park, while moods are reflected in the calming azures across the foothills of the Southern Alps that both feed the lake, and nourish the soul.

Each room features STD/ISD phone systems, tea and coffee making facilities, individual control airconditioning and complimentary grooming items.

Peppers Bluewater Resort has an onsite Restaurant serving buffet breakfast and lunch daily with an a la carte dinner. The Bar is also open daily.

At Peppers Bluewater Resort you can use the nearby Alpine Springs Health spa and Hot Pool to revitalize your body and soul with massage and beauty therapy. Lake Tekapo provides excellent kayaking and rainbow and brown trout fishing.

The old village is steeped in mythology and rich High Country history. Tekapo is Maori for ‘night sleeping place', and the lake itself boasts the clearest, darkest and most spectacular night sky, ideal for a tramp up Mount John followed by a romantic twilight picnic.

  • Great bathroom and furnishings, nice view of the lake. Would have been great if there were on-site spa/sauna facilities available outside of the local hot pool hours. Reception was extremely busy at several points in the morning. 5

  • Fantastic in all respects - the reception was speedy pleasant and good knowledge of the area. The cleaning crew near our room offered to help with the luggage. The room was awesome with unbelievable views (believe me!!) the room was great - nice décor, excellent facilities and clean. The night meal was perfect with great atmosphere - the waiting staff excellent and they even prioritised our meal as we had to depart early for mt john observatory. The grounds were clean and environmentally appealing. An outstanding hotel a+ highly recommended and will be back again - thanks heaps. 5

  • We stayed in a 2 bedroom garden view apartment. Full kitchen facilities and great views of lake and mountains. Gas heaters were fantastic . We were disappointed that although we arrived 3:30pm, room was not available when checkout time is 10am. We were offered drinks while we waited which we appreciated. 5

  • I arrived at 12 noon wet through from my ride, hoping to be able to get into my room earlier that 2pm. My room cleaning was put on pirority. But i didn't get into it till 2.30. There was a light out and the kitchen food waste disposal didn't work i found out. I had to wait in reception in wet clothes while it was still raining outside while the fixit guy came back to site. I would like to point out your receptionist was two young to be left by herself. If she had advised that the items were faulty i could have advised that it was acceptable to me to take the room and the repair guy could come back at a specified time. I needed to get warm straight away. There were at least 3 other parties wanting earlier rooms as well. Perhaps company police can be to get more cleaners in on wet days. The room was new and warm. The front door opened into an entry for room a and b, the door is loud in the middle of the night. . 1

  • A very pleasant stay in a "deluxe lakeview hotel room". Beautiful view, beautiful stars, comfortable bed, nice tv for watching dvds. And for what it's worth, i liked the pine trees by the lake :-). 5
