Travelbug Terms & Conditions

  1. Introduction
    1. These are the terms and conditions on which Travelbug (Travel Booking Services 2016 GP Limited) offers you access to the Travelbug IF website and accommodation, activities, product, search and booking services available on the website.
    2. These terms and conditions may be amended in whole or in part by Travelbug (Travel Booking Services 2016 GP Limited) at anytime at its discretion. Amendments will be effective immediately upon posting of the amended terms and conditions on this website. You are responsible for ensuring you are familiar with the latest terms and conditions. Your continued use of the website or the services represents your agreement to be bound by the amended terms and conditions. These terms and conditions were last updated on 22 February 2018.
    3. Where these terms and conditions refer to "you", "your", "customers", "customer", "the user" or "users", we mean any individual using the Website or other Services.
    4. Where these terms and conditions refer to "operator" or "operators", we mean any individual showing accommodation on Travelbug IF.
    5. Where we refer to "Travelbug IF", "our", "us" or "we" in these terms and conditions we mean the Travelbug Interest Free website owned and operated by Travel Booking Services 2016 GP Limited.
    6. The Travelbug IF website is owned and operated by Travel Booking Services 2016 GP. By using the website or the services, you accept these terms and conditions. If you do not accept them, you must refrain from using the website or the services.
    7. While Travelbug IF has made every effort to ensure prices are correct, Travelbug IF reserves the right to correct prices and/or installment terms if incorrect, without notice.
    8. All contracts are subject to the customer meeting the lending and credit criteria for Travelbug IF, as well as the guidelines for responsible lending.
    9. At no point will interest charges be applicable on any products of services.
  2. Customer Rights
    1. Consumer protection legislation establishes rights for each customer. No part of this agreement is intended to interfere with these consumer rights. These Consumer Rights include:
      1. Statutory guarantees under the New Zealand consumer protection laws, including as to title and delivery of goods, that goods will be of acceptable quality, match their description and be fit for any purpose made known to the supplier, and that services supplied will be provided with reasonable care and skill and be reasonably fit for any specified purpose. When a statutory guarantee is breached, consumers are entitled to a range of remedies including, in some cases, damages for reasonably foreseeable losses; and
      2. non-excludable implied warranties that financial services will be provided with reasonable care and skill and that the services and any materials supplied in connection with them will be fit for any specified purpose.
  3. Use of Travelbug IF Website
    1. You may only use Travelbug IF if you: (i) be an individual who is at least 18 years old; (ii) be capable of entering into a legally binding contract;(iii) have a valid and verifiable email address and mobile telephone number; (iv) provide a valid delivery address in New Zealand; and (v) have access to a Payment Method
      1. By entering into this agreement, you represent and warrant to Travelbug IF that you are eligible to use our Products and Services.
    2. You agree to provide complete, accurate and current personal information when booking accommodation or activities.
    3. Travelbug IF reserves the right at its discretion to decline to provide you with the services at any time without entering further discussions with you. Any such termination shall not affect any right or remedy to which Travelbug IF may be entitled.
    4. Travelbug IF will send you emails relating to your transactions and other activities on the website.
    5. Travelbug IF may also send regular electronic newsletters to Travelbug IF users. Newsletters will contain clear and obvious instructions for how you can unsubscribe from the mailing list.
  4. The Services
    1. Travelbug IF provides the website for you to find and book directly with accommodation and activity operators (Operators). As part of the services, Travel Booking Services staff may also help you over the phone to make bookings on the website, including by entering into the website on your behalf the information required for you to make a booking (Helpline). You agree to the use of the Website and Services for this purpose only.
    2. When you make a booking (whether yourself on the Website or via the Helpline) and it is confirmed to you, you form a binding contract directly with the Operator. You must only make a booking that you intend to use and pay for. You must not use the Website or Helpline to make speculative, false or fraudulent bookings.
    3. Travelbug IF is not party to any agreement or transaction between you and an Operator, including any booking for accommodation or activities or other products or services made using the website or Helpline. Accordingly, you agree not to involve, or attempt to involve, Travelbug IF in any dispute or in the resolution of disputed that may arise between you and an operator as a result of the Services provided.
    4. The inclusion on the website of any third party material or a link to a third party website does not mean Travelbug IF endorses or approves that third party or the third party material.
  5. Your Travelbug IF Account
    1. A Travelbug IF account will be created by you through completing either (a) the sign up form, or (b) completing an order through the checkout process.
    2. During the process of creating a Travelbug IF account you will select and enter a secure password. This password will allow you access to your account through the Travelbug IF website.
    3. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Travelbug IF Account details. Travelbug will not take responsibility for unauthorised access and use of your Travelbug IF account unless we have failed to take reasonable steps to prevent such unauthorised access or use.
    4. You acknowledge and agree that if a person places a booking with an operator by using your Travelbug IF Account (whether with or without your authorisation), that person will be deemed to be you for the purposes of this Agreement and that will not affect your obligations under this Agreement, regardless of: (i) whether we are, or at any time become, aware of the use of your Travelbug IF Account not being authorised by you; (ii) whether there is a dispute, breach, defect or other issue in relation to the booking, the products or services subject to the booking or the associated sales contract or any other agreement between that person and the Operator or, in the case of an online marketplace, the provider of the online marketplace; or (iii) any rights or claims that we or the Operator or, in the case of an online marketplace, the provider of the online marketplace, may have against that person.
    5. By holding a Travelbug IF Account with us, you agree that you must:
      1. Pay any applicable late installment fees associated with your use of our products and your Travelbug IF Account;
      2. Not provide us with any information that is false, inaccurate or misleading;
      3. Ensure any information about you, including your contact details, is true, current and complete. If your information changes, you must update it through your Travelbug IF Account via our Website;
      4. Provide to us in a timely manner with all documentation relating to your identity, if requested by us;
      5. Not use your Travelbug IF Account or our Products for any unlawful, fraudulent or improper activity;
      6. Cooperate fully with us to investigate any suspected unlawful, fraudulent or improper activity on your Travelbug IF Account;
      7. Be aware of and pay any taxes that may apply to your use of our Products;
      8. Not permit others to use your Travelbug IF Account, or allow anyone else to have or use your Travelbug IF Account password details;
      9. Not use any technology (device, software or hardware) to damage, intercept or interfere with our Products;
      10. Immediately contact us if you believe that your Travelbug IF Account may be subject to an unauthorised transaction, account takeover or other type of fraudulent activity or security breach;
      11. Not create liability for us or our Related Companies or cause us to lose (in whole or in part) the services of our Operators, or in the case of an online marketplace, the provider of the online marketplace; and
      12. Authorise us to disclose Card-related profile and purchase behaviour information to third parties (including, without limitation, Visa and MasterCard) for the purpose of eliminating fraud and illicit behaviour.
      13. Not open or use more than one Travelbug IF Account.
    6. Closing your Travelbug IF Account:
      1. You may request to close your Travelbug IF Account by contacting us directly. You may request to close your Travelbug IF Account only if: (a) all amounts owing to us by you (including any late installment fees) have been paid in full to us; and (b) no disputed or refunds are in progress
      2. You may not close your Travelbug IF Account to evade investigations of any nature.
      3. We may close your Travelbug IF Account for any reason, upon giving you at least 90 days" notice. This Agreement will continue to apply to any Bookings accepted prior to such closure until all amounts owing are received in full (including any late installment fees).
      4. Except as otherwise stated, this Agreement will be terminated once your Travelbug IF Account is closed. However, you will remain liable for all outstanding obligations related to the Travelbug IF Account even after it has been closed.
      5. We may immediately limit your access to our products or suspend or close your Travelbug IF Account where we have reasonable cause to do so, including, without limitation, where:
        1. we reasonably consider it necessary to do so in order to: (i) protect the integrity of our systems or the Products (ii) prevent fraud; (iii) limit the risk of money laundering or terrorism financing; or (iv) otherwise protect us against any legal, regulatory or non-payment risk;
        2. you do not pass our verifications or checks,
        3. we reasonably suspect, or are aware, that you have breached this Agreement in a material respect (including by failing to make any installment due under this Agreement on the installment due date in accordance with the Installment Schedule); or
        4. we otherwise reasonably consider the Order to be suspicious.
      6. We will use our best efforts to provide written notice to your before closing your Travelbug IF Account, in the circumstances described in clause 5.6.5 above, except where doing so we may compromise any investigation to your breach of this agreement or unlawful or improper conduct. Where we close your Travelbug IF Account in accordance with clause 5.6.5, this agreement will be terminated, and all amounts owed by you to us will immediately become payable to Travelbug IF.
  6. Criteria
    1. Eligibility criteria and checks apply to the use of the Travelbug IF service. Customers must satisfy the following requirements:
      1. Be 18 years of age at the time of making their booking
      2. Be a resident of New Zealand
      3. Hold a current New Zealand Visa or Mastercard, debit or credit card
    2. Customers failing to meet the stated eligibility criteria, or with insufficient funds to make their first debit or credit card installment, will not be approved for Travelbug interest free travel.
  7. Security
    1. Travelbug IF is PCI compliant, and do not store any credit card or debit card numbers on their website.
  8. Booking
    1. All bookings which you place with Travelbug IF are subject to approval by Travelbug IF, in our reasonable discretion. We may choose not to approve a booking or provide a product/service to you, or we may cancel an approved booking before travel is taken if:
      1. We reasonably consider this necessary in order to:
        1. protect the integrity of our systems or the Products;
        2. prevent fraud;
        3. limit the risk of money laundering or terrorism financing; or
        4. otherwise protect us against any legal, regulatory or non-installment risk;
      2. You do not pass our verifications or checks
      3. we reasonably suspect, or are aware, that you have breached this Agreement in a material respect; or
      4. We otherwise reasonably consider the Booking to be suspicious.
    2. Once customers have passed the verification process, they can stay with their selected accommodation provider instantly. Should the customer wish to travel within one week of booking then first two-installments will need to be made on the date of booking.
    3. In a single customer account, the values cannot exceed $1,200 total. Should a single account holder wish to book accommodation in excess of $1200NZD, Travelbug IF reserves the right to assess bookings on a case by case basis.
    4. Once an on request booking is made through Travelbug IF it is the responsibility of the operator to confirm the requested booking.
    5. Travelbug IF will not process an installment until the on request booking has been confirmed. However, Travelbug hold the right to run a card authorisation which may result in funds being held for 24 hrs.
  9. Automatic Installments
    1. During the booking process, customers will provide authorisation to automatically deduct the total amount payable from a nominated card on a regular basis in agreed upon amounts as outlined in your installment schedule. Customers cannot change their installment date once they have been confirmed at the initial point of booking.
    2. Subject to the other terms of this Agreement, you hereby expressly consent to, authorise and instruct Travelbug automatically take installment amounts from your nominated payment source for the amounts and on the scheduled dates set out in your installment schedule. You acknowledge that you are giving us the ability to collect or reverse variable amounts from or to your nominated payment source, in accordance with your installment schedule and the terms of this agreement.
    3. A nominated payment source must be a valid New Zealand debit card or credit card either (a) Mastercard or (b) Visa.
    4. Details of finance (including weekly installments, the total amount repayable, interest rate and any applicable late installment fees) will be confirmed at the point of booking. The interest free installment amount will depend in the total cost of the eligible accommodation booking selected, calculates over eight installments. Account suspensions are not allowed. Not transferable between customers.
    5. You are responsible for ensuring that you have sufficient funds in your nominated payment source available for Travelbug IF to automatically take installments on the dates specified on your installment schedule.
  10. Late Installment
    1. If an automatic installment fails, late installment fees may apply unless you otherwise make the scheduled installment on the relevant due date.
    2. If you fail to pay any amounts according to the installment schedule, late installment fees will apply on each installment that is due but not received. For the avoidance of doubt, Late Installment Fees will not be applied until an automatic installment fails seven days following the day the original missed installment date.
    3. Failure to process an automatic installment on the due date will result in a late fee being charged. A late fee of $10 will be charged if the installment remains unpaid seven days after the due date.
    4. Following a late installment fee being charged against your Travelbug IF account the installment amount and late installment fee will be charged as one sum.
    5. We may, at our sole discretion, reasonably delay the application of, or waive wholly or partly, any Late installment Fee. If Late installment Fees are or may be incurred as a result of Travelbug"s IF error, please let us know, and we will waive or refund such fees, as relevant.
    6. After a first missed installment Travelbug IF will contact you a number of times, via multiple channels until contact is made. If no contact is made it is at the discretion of Travelbug IF to pass the remaining booking balance, late installment fees and collection fees onto third party collection service along with any incurred associated collection fees.
  11. Fees
    1. Travelbug IF may also charge a service fee and installment processing fee for providing services. These fees and charges will not be refunded to you if you cancel a confirmed booking or claim a refund from the operator of accommodation or activity, products or services booked using the Website (directly or via the Helpline) except in exceptional circumstances, such as where the Operator cancels a confirmed booking.
    2. Travelbug IF reserves the right to change at any time the fees charged for any of our Services or the manner in which they are charged, imposed or collected. If we launch a new service, the charges for that service will be effective at the launch of that service unless otherwise stated.
    3. All fees are exclusive of New Zealand GST and in New Zealand dollars, unless otherwise stated.
    4. Travelbug IF charges no subscription or account sign-up fees to the user of their service.
    5. A service fee is charged when using the Website to book accommodation, this fee is non-refundable and is split over eight installments.
  12. Cancellations
    1. No booking will be refunded if cancellation is requested within 72 hours of the bookings check-in date. In some cases an operator is able to change their cancellation policy to exceed 72 hours.
    2. Cancellation policies are detailed on the installment confirmation page prior to the final booking confirmation. A non-refundable fee applies to all cancellations regardless of the suppliers cancellation policy.
    3. If an operator cancels your booking at anytime you (the traveller) will receive a full refund, no cancellation fee will be charged in this situation.
    4. Please contact the Travelbug IF directly to discuss the desired cancellations, changes or refunds. Additional charges, or a refund, may apply depending on the nature of the booking amendment.
  13. Refunds
    1. Where you are entitled to a refund, the refund will be made to the same credit card that you used to confirm the booking
    2. Please note, in the event of partial refunds, refund amounts are taken off the last installment/s first.
      1. For example, if you make a $800 booking using Travelbug IF and the operator approves a $550 we would cancel instalments 4 to 8 and amend instalment 3 to $50.
  14. Amendments
    1. In the case of an amendment to your booking when the amended price is higher than original price, a one off full payment is required equal to the price difference. When an amended price is lower than the original price, Travelbug IF will first take the difference from remaining installments, and secondly process a refund to the card originally used to make the booking.
    2. All amendments are subject to operator approval, as well as Travelbug IF cancellation policies.
  15. Transfers or assignments
    1. You cannot transfer or assign any rights you may have under this Agreement without our prior written consent, which must not be unreasonably withheld.
    2. We may transfer or assign this Agreement, and any rights under this Agreement, to a third party without notice to you or your consent unless the assignment will detrimentally affect your rights under the Agreement (in which case we will seek your consent prior to assignment, which consent must not be unreasonably withheld). You agree that we may appoint third party collections agencies to collect from you any amounts owing to us under this Agreement without your consent. Upon appointing a third party collector to collect any amount owing all costs will be added onto the already owing amount.
  16. Hardship
    1. If a user has suffered hardship they could not reasonably have seen coming resulting in an inability to reasonably meet installments, and believes they would be able to meet their installments if the contract was altered the user may apply for hardship variation.
    2. To apply for hardship variation, customers must:
      1. Make a written application, and
      2. Explain the reason or reasons for the unforeseen hardship, and
      3. Request one of the following:
        1. extending the term of the contract and reducing the amount of each installment, or
        2. postponing installments for a specified period of time (an installment holiday), or
        3. extending the term of the contract and postponing installments for a specified period of time (a installment holiday).
      4. Submit their application to Travelbug by emailing support@travelbug.co.nz or posting a letter to Travel Booking Services Limited, Reid House, 114 Alexandra Street, Hamilton Central, Hamilton.
    3. Such applications should be made immediately.
  17. Assessment and Checks
    1. We reserve the right to assess, and determine whether to accept or cancel each booking.
    2. We reserve the right to verify your identity, including if required under the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009.
    3. You agree to provide any information or documentation reasonably requested by Travelbug IF or an Operator to verify your identity in connection with your Travelbug IF Account or Bookings.
    4. You authorise us to make, directly or through third parties, any enquiries we consider necessary to verify your identity and assess your capability to make installments according to the installment Schedule in relation to all Travelbug IF Bookings. This may include ordering a credit report, performing other installment capability checks and verifying information you provide against third party databases.
    5. You authorise Travelbug IF (or any third parties providing services on behalf of Travelbug) to disclose to third parties, to the extent required or permitted by any applicable laws or regulations, any information in relation to you or your Travelbug IF Account. In addition, you acknowledge that Travelbug IF reserves the right to report any negative activity on your Travelbug IF Account (including late installments, missed installments, defaults or chargebacks) to credit reporters and collection agencies. If you default in your obligations to Travelbug IF, information about that default may be given to a credit reporter and the credit reporter may give information about your default to other customers of the credit reporter. A credit reporter will hold your information on its system and use it to provide its credit reporting service and update its credit reporting database. When other customers of the credit reporter use its credit reporting service, the credit reporter may give your information to those customers. You acknowledge that Travelbug IF may continue to use the credit reporter"s services in the future for purposes related to the provision of credit to you, including receiving updates of information held about you.
  18. Operator Information
    1. Each Operator maintains and updates its own information on the website through the Bookit.co.nz billing and payment system. Travelbug IF takes steps to ensure that information displayed on the website is accurate and complete (including but not limited to, inventory, rates and cancellations), but does not guarantee that information on the website is free from errors or omissions and does not accept liability for any errors or omissions.
    2. Travelbug IF reserves the right to alter information published on the website if Travelbug IF considers it incorrect or misleading.
    3. Travelbug IF is not responsible or liable for any unavailability of accommodation or activity, products or services that an Operator indicates on the website is/are available.
    4. The services and all information and materials on the Website are provided "as is" and Travelbug IF does not give away any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. The the maximum extent permitted by law, all representations and warranties (statutory, express or implied) are expressly excluded, including, but not limited to, any implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Travelbug IF makes no representation or warranty about, and takes no responsibility or liability for, the quality or suitability of any accommodation or activity, product or service featured on the website.
  19. Exclusion and Limitation of Liability
    1. Travelbug IF is not liable under any circumstances (including, but not limited to negligence) for any direct or indirect loss or damage (including, but not limited to, general, consequential, special or incidental loss or damages, loss of profits or loss of savings) suffered by you or anyone else arising from the direct or indirect use of the website or services from the use of, or inability to use, any accommodation or activity, product or service booked or purchased using the website or services, even if Travelbug IF has been advised of the possibility of such loss or damages. In any event, if, notwithstanding these terms and conditions, Travelbug IF is held liable then Travel Booking Services total liability to you and those claiming though you under any and all causes of action, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, shall not exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for using the website.
    2. Travelbug IF will use its reasonable endeavours to ensure the availability of the website and services, subject to any downtime required for maintenance. However, Travelbug IF takes no responsibility for any system unavailability, or any loss or damage that is suffered as a result of the website services being unavailable for any reason. Travelbug IF does not warrant that the website or services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the website will be free from viruses or other harmful content. Further, Travelbug IF is not responsible or liable for the corruption of any data or information submitted via the website or held by Travel Booking Services.
  20. Discount Codes
    1. If you make a booking using a discount code, you will not be able to use that discount code on any subsequent booking amendment. Amendments will be made using the normal price of the product being amended.
    2. If you are issued a reward discount code after completing a booking, the reward discount code will only be successfully applied to your next booking if your first booking is still confirmed.
  21. Gift Vouchers
    1. If you purchase a Travelbug IF voucher you are pre-paying for the right to purchase accommodation or activities in New Zealand, on this website, up to the value available on the voucher.
    2. The unique voucher number must be entered at the point of purchase on the Travelbug IF website. The voucher amount will be deducted from the total to pay.
    3. The voucher must be used for one transaction only. In the event the booking amount is less than the voucher value, any remaining voucher balance will be forfeited and no change will be given.
    4. The voucher lasts for 12 months from the date if issue. The expiry date is clearly marked on the voucher. Unused voucher amounts will be forfeited on expiry.
    5. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.
  22. Intellectual Property Rights
    1. Travel Booking Services (and its licensors or suppliers, as the case may be) owns all intellectual property rights in the Website and the Services (including, but not limited to, text, graphics, logos, icons and sound recordings) and the software and other material underlying and forming part of the Services and the Website. Travelbug IF is a trademark of Travel Booking Services Limited. You may not without our prior written permission, in any form or by any means:
      1. Adapt, reproduce, copy, store, distribute, print, display, perform, publish, transmit or create adaptations from any part of the Website or its contents; or
      2. Commercialise, copy, or on-sell any information, or items obtained from any part of the Website or its contents.
      3. You agree:
        1. Not to use any software, process or device to copy, collect or harvest data or other content from the Website;
        2. Not to decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble or otherwise deal with any software underlying ot forming part of the Service or the Website; and
        3. Not to do anything or take any action that imposes an unreasonable burden on Travelbug IF computer systems.
  23. Notices and Communications
    1. How we will communicate with you
      1. This Agreement and any other agreements, notices or other communications regarding your Travelbug IF Account and/or your use of our Products may be provided to you electronically.
      2. You agree to receive all communications from us in electronic form. Communications will be posted on our Website and/or sent to your email address you have registered with your Travelbug IF Account.
      3. Alternatively, we may choose to give notice to you by: (i) serving it personally at, or sending it by post to, your nominated contact address listed on your Travelbug IF Account; or (ii) sending it to you via other electronic methods of communication using contact details listed on your Travelbug IF Account (including text messages).
      4. Where a notice is served personally, service of the notice is taken to be affected when delivered. Where a notice is sent by post, service of the notice is taken to be effected on the fourth day after the date of postage. Where a notice is sent by electronic mail, or through other electronic means, service of the notice is taken to be effected on the day after the day on which it is sent, unless we receive notification that delivery has failed.
      5. You consent to us using the contact details you have provided to us to: (i) contact you on an ongoing basis for marketing purposes whether by email, SMS, phone or otherwise (unless you have notified us that you do not wish to receive such communication); and/or (ii) contact you in relation to your Travelbug IF Account and/or our Products.
      6. You acknowledge that we (or any third party providing services on behalf of us) may monitor or record telephone conversations or electronic communications for quality control and training purposes or for Travelbug IF own protection. Travelbug IF does not provide any guarantee that any such monitoring or recording will be retained or retrievable.
    2. How you can communicate with us

  24. General
    1. Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. You must submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of New Zealand.
    2. Waiver and Severability: Travelbug IF will not be deemed to have waived any right under these terms and conditions unless the waiver is in writing and signed by Travelbug IF. Any unlawful or voidable provision in these terms and conditions shall be read down so as to be valid and enforceable or, if it cannot be read down, will be severed without affecting the validity, legality of enforceability of the remaining provisions.
    3. Headings: The headings used in these terms and conditions are included for convenience only and do not affect or limit these terms or conditions.
  25. Privacy
    1. Travelbug IF collects personal information about you through your use of the services and the website, including
      1. Your contact details; and
      2. Information relating you your use of the Website and the content you access.
      3. Travelbug IF may also gather information about you from Facebook with your express permission, and accordance with our privacy policy.
    2. You agree that Travelbug IF may use this personal information to assist Travelbug IF( to provide the Services to you, for internal research purposes, to verify your identity, for promoting and marketing other Travel Booking Services products and services to you, and for any other use that you authorise.
    3. Travel Booking Services will provide operators with the information required to facilitate a booking that you make through the Travelbug IF site.
    4. Travel Booking Services uses Bookit (bookit.co.nz) billing and payment system in order to provide you with the Travelbug IF site. View the Bookit Terms and Conditions.
    5. Travel Booking Services will not sell or allow third parties to access your personal information without your consent.   1. Use of your information

    7. Where Travel Booking Services uses third parties to undertake services, we may provide those third parties with some of your information if it is required to fulfil those services.     1. It is the policy of Travelbug to send our users emails from time to time. It is also our policy to immediately remove any user from our mailing list upon the user's request. In addition, we may send Travelbug users a monthly newsletter or weekly deals email. Newsletters and deals emails will contain clear and obvious instructions for how the users can remove themselves from that mailing list.
  3. Contact Information
    1. To make an online booking on Travelbug, you are required to provide us with your contact information and perhaps other demographic information. We may use your contact information from the booking form to send you information about our company and promotional material from some of our affiliated partners. Your contact information is also used to contact you when necessary. If you’re an advertiser on Travelbug and you have selected to purchase additional advertising features to be charged on a recurring basis, your contact details (such as name, email address and phone number) will be supplied to BookIt, but only for the purposes of billing by Travel Booking Services 2016 LP.
  4. Credit Card Security
    1. We work diligently to protect the security of your personal information, including credit card information.
    2. We protect your credit card information during transmission by using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol, which encrypts your information when transmitted over the Internet. Travel Booking Services retains only partial card details. However they may be held by Paystation Limited, (review their privacy policy). If you choose to create a profile with Travelbug we will use the details held by Paystation Limited, to save you time when making a booking.
  5. Login via Facebook and/or Google Credentials
    1. You can log into your Travelbug account using your Facebook or Google login credentials.
    2. Travelbug will not access your information from Facebook without your express permission. However, when you grant permission you are authorising Travelbug to collect, store, retain and use indefinitely, any and all information that you agreed Facebook could provide to Travelbug through the Facebook application programming interface. If you no longer wish to use Facebook in conjunction with Travelbug, you can remove our access through your Facebook account, or contact us for more information.
  6. Cookies
    1. Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your web browser in a file on your computer's hard drive when you use Travelbug. We use cookies to deliver information and fresh content specific to your interests and to improve the experience of using Travelbug. Google uses cookies to measure the number of Google users that click on an advertisement and visit certain Travelbug web pages, or who complete certain actions on the Website.     5. We also allow some third parties to place remarketing cookies on your browser when you view their advertisements on Travelbug. This allows them to continue to show their advertisements to you when you visit other sites they advertise on, or to cap the frequency with which you see an advertisement.

    1. We use additional information to do internal research on our users' demographics, interests, and behaviour to better understand and serve you and the Travelbug community. This information may include the URL that you just came from (whether this URL is on our site or not), which URL you next go to (whether this URL is on our site or not), what browser you are using, and your IP address (when bookings are made or review comments are placed).
