Come and join us on one of our small personal tours here at ecoSEAker and enjoy swimming with the worlds rarest and smallest ocean going dolphin – The Hectors (New Zealand) Dolphin, only possible in and around the amazing volcanic crater of Akaroa Harbour.

We are a small friendly family owned business who have been in the Akaroa Harbour for 6 generations and operating small Harbour Tours from the family farm since 1984. We are now operating from Akaroa township departing from Daly's wharf, 100 meters for the bus stop and isite.

We absolutely love what we do and would greatly appreciate the opportunity to take you on one of our small personal friendly Dolphin Swims or Harbour Adventure Cruises.


HARBOUR ADVENTURE CRUISE

We will see and get close to all of the high scenic points and amazing wildlife Akaroa Harbour has to offer.
Things you are likely to see are - Amazing Sea Arches, Volcanic Formations, White Flippered Blue Penguins, Albatross, other sea birds, Caves, Cathedral Cave, Salmon and Mussel Farms, The Akaroa Marine reserve, Nikau Palm Gully, Elephant Head, Occasional Blowholes. Hear about the Volcanic and Maori History.

This tour goes for 2 hours and suits people who want to see everything and have an adventure.
Small & personal - 12 guests maximum.

DOLPHIN SWIMMING:

Our DOLPHIN SWIMMING TOURS are longer than other companies so you should allow approximately 3.5 hours for your experience. This gives us more time on the water to gain the encounter with the dolphins. We will also endeavour to show you the other amazing wildlife and scenery out there as well. New Zealand Fur Seals, White Flippered Blue Penguins, Albatross, other sea birds, Cathedral Cave, The Akaroa Marine reserve, subject to time and conditions. Although our first priority is your dolphin swim experience.

Did we mention we are also the smallest operator?

Our boat takes a maximum of 12 guests at a time making it a very intimate experience.

The boat is an exciting, fun, comfotable 12.5 meter Rayglass Protector RHIB (rigid-hulled inflatable boat) with a cabin for weather protection.


Rayglass Protectors have an amazing worldwide reputation as incredibly safe seaworthy boats.
In fact you have probably seen them as the go to boat for the chase/support boats in The America’s Cup Yacht Racing.

Our boat was originally built for and served as an America’s Cup Chase boat. It then went into service for COASTGAURD NZ our Marine Rescue Service, and it has saved lives

Being a RHIB with rubber pontoons means you are very close to the dolphins on the boat even before you enter the water. It’s a thrilling way to watch them swimming along with the boat.

Advanced bookings are essential
Our boat takes a maximum of 12 guests at one time. 
We only operate 1 Dolphin Swim & 1 Harbour Adventure Cruise per day so advanced bookings are strongly advised to avoid disappointment.

Season
We operate Dolphin Swimming & Harbour Adventure Cruises throughout the summer months from the 1st of October to the 30th of April.
