Description
Located on a 350-acre working farm Agrodome is founded by the pioneers of the New Zealand wool and shearing industry. Join us for our Agrodome Farm Experience. Agrodome Farm is proud to be part of New Zealand’s agricultural history, built on genuine kiwi pioneering spirit.
Agrodome Farm is home to 19 breeds of sheep, 10 breeds of cattle plus alpaca and deer. The Agrodome Farm Experience combines our world-renowned Sheep Show with a one hour tractor and trailer Farm Tour, introducing New Zealand farming techniques and farmyard animals, guided by
one of our expert farm hands.
For over 50 years, visitors have come to Agrodome to see the original Sheep Show, hosted by our entertaining Farm Presenters. Learn all about New Zealand farming as you watch and participate in a wide range of activities including sheep shearing, cow milking, stock auction, baby animal feeding, and dog demonstrations.
After the Sheep Show, join our all-weather comfortable farm trailers as our knowledgeable farm hands take visitors across our 350-acre working farm. Agrodome introduces visitors to more breeds of farm animal than any other farm experience in New Zealand. The Farm Tour includes the opportunity to hand-feed and take photos with farm animals, including Romney sheep, alpacas, cattle, and deer. It is interactive, entertaining, and educational.
