Description
Awesome Bay of Islands Day Sailing Adventure on our 65 foot ocean going yacht GUNGHA II. Our sailing tour is exciting, funny and informal. We provide tasty morning snacks, heaps of sailing, a unique island stopover, masks & snorkels, hot outside showers and our yummy fresh sandwich lunch. Marine life including penguins, seabirds and others are often plentiful and frequently sighted in playful groups. Our friendly crew will help you sail the boat or you can simply relax and enjoy. We depart from Paihia/Russell daily at 10:00/10:15 am. We return around 4:00 pm. The cost per Adult is $195 ... all activities and yummy fresh lunch included! GUNGHA II is the largest and most widely travelled ocean sailing yacht in the Bay of Islands! Our crew have sailed and lived aboard throughout the Pacific and beyond. Our winter schedule often includes Tonga, Fiji and New Caledonia. If you are keen to talk about or learn some sailing skills our crew will be happy to share! Come sail with us in our paradise!

We board our guests on the Paihia Wharf at 09:45 or Russell Wharf at 10:15. Private Charter departures are flexible and can be modified to suit. Cancellation Policy
NOTES
Minimum numbers apply. Please try to confirm your booking 24 hours prior to departure. Please make sure we have your correct contact details when making your booking.
All departures are subject to demand, sea and weather conditions. If a tour is cancelled by the operator you will be offered a full refund or a go-again voucher.
If you cancel your booking or fail to arrive for a scheduled departure you may receive no refund. Individual bookings may be refunded if we are notified within 48 hours of departure. Group booking (4 or more passengers) may be refunded if we are notified within 72 hours of departure. Private charter bookings may be refunded if we are notified within 1 week of departure.
All day sailing tours are smoking/vaping and alcohol free. BYO alcohol in limited amount may be allowed on private charter when agreed with the Captain. Passengers will be required to sail barefoot.
Please bring a water bottle, sunscreen and a towel. Please do not bring chilly bins, diving or fishing gear. We will be sailing!
We do not target or swim with dolphins. Our encounters occur naturally and are often brief. Marine mammals protection regulations are strictly observed.
We will be visiting a wildlife sanctuary and must do all we can to protect this fragile environment. You will be asked to limit the amount of gear that goes ashore.
Snorkeling is available to those who are competent swimmers. You may be asked to declare your ability. Snorkeling is supervised but not guided. If your ability is in doubt you may be required to forego snorkeling or to try it at the beach (where you can stand up!) with a competent person alongside.
DEPARTURE & PRICES
Day sailing tours depart the Paihia/Russel Wharf at 10:00/10:15 and return around 16:00. Please arrive for boarding no later than 09:45. Passengers travelling from Russell will receive a no-charge ferry transfer. Please ring us the day before to confirm your Russell transfer. The full fare for Adult is $195NZD and for a Child (aged 2 thru 12) is $125NZD. Infants under 2 can travel at no charge but the availability for infant space must be confirmed with the Captain 24 hours prior to sailing. If sailing conditions are fresh the Captain may determine that availability is unsuitable.
All prices are in New Zealand Dollars and are GST included. Prices are subject to change without notice. We do have an eftpos facility on board and can process credit card bookings via phone as well.
