Las Vegas accommodation

General info

City of excess, city of lights, city of hangovers... Call it what you will, Las Vegas is a city in which you can’t possibly be bored. Although it was founded in the 1800s, it wasn’t until gambling was legalised in 1931 that the town really took off and today it’s a city where you can basically do whatever your heart desires.

Things you must see & do

Entertainment can be cheap in Vegas, from a walk along the Strip at night watching the Bellagio fountains or any of the other casino outside ‘shows’ to one of the marquee acts that headline the theatres around town. And if you’re playing in the casinos, you can get drinks for the price of a tip.

If you’re into pools, the Bellagio and the Cosmopolitan have some of the best places to lounge – just be sure to arrive early and stake your claim to a lounger. If you’re into shopping, try the outlet malls and the inside word is that the air conditioned one at the south end of the Strip is the best.

If you’re into gambling, make sure you have a good wander and check out as many casinos as you can to find one that has the vibe you’re looking for. Two fav picks are the poker room at Planet Hollywood for its laid back feel or anywhere at the Bellagio.
