Welcome to Braemar House, a separate YHA hostel (and an historic, restored B&B) nestled alongside the Whanganui River.
In its own annexe on the property, is a twenty-two bedded YHA Hostel, comprising of dormitories, private rooms (twin and doubles) and both small and large family rooms; the large is ensuited.
There's a large commercial kitchen, dining room and TV lounge. Laundry facilities available also safe on street parking. WiFi broadband internet available.
We are approx 1 hours drive to the volcanic ski fields in winter or the famous Tongariro crossing in summer. The equally popular River road mail run picks up daily from the front of the homestead. The historic restored side paddle steamer Waimarie passes daily in front of Braemar House.
The whole complex is ideal for small conference, business meetings, or just an intimate family gathering place. Excellent for a wedding or reunion party sleepover.
