Mt Hutt Motels has welcomed guests to Methven for many years, and since taking over in April 2026, owners Annette and Jeremy have been committed to continuing the warm Kiwi hospitality and friendly service the motel has long been known for. Nestled amongst mature trees and landscaped gardens, our peaceful motel is set back from the main road, offering a quiet and relaxing stay while still being just a short walk from Methven’s cafés, restaurants and shops. Perfectly positioned for both leisure and business travellers, we’re also the closest accommodation to Ōpuke Thermal Pools & Spa and just a 10-minute drive to the base of Mt Hutt Ski Area, making us an ideal choice for ski holidays and year-round escapes.

Our accommodation includes spacious self-contained studios and comfortable two-bedroom apartments, each thoughtfully equipped with a full kitchen, private bathroom and outdoor seating overlooking the gardens. Guests also enjoy free unlimited high-speed WiFi, Smart TVs, ample off-street parking and a spacious barbecue area – everything you need for a relaxing stay.

Since becoming the new owners, we’ve been investing in continual improvements throughout the property. Recent upgrades include refreshed interiors, stylish new curtains and blinds, large 50-inch Smart TVs, upgraded heating and enhanced high-speed WiFi, ensuring our guests enjoy all the comforts of modern accommodation while retaining the welcoming atmosphere that makes Mt Hutt Motels such a favourite destination.
