Description
Tahuna Beach Holiday Park is located 4.5 kilometres from Nelson city centre and adjacent to the long welcoming sands of Tahunanui Beach. It covers 54 acres of parkland that has been available for almost nine decades for holidaymakers to enjoy.
Today Tahuna Beach Holiday Park offers accommodation that suits every holidaymaker’s and traveller’s budget – from unpowered campsites to cosy cabins to modern, fully self-contained motel units.
The Holiday Park’s location gives you direct access to the beach, playing fields and local beachside attractions.
On site there are several recreation areas, including beach volleyball court, basketball court, several playgrounds, an 18 hole mini golf course and an outdoor amphitheater for live music and other events. Tahuna Beach Holiday Park also has its very own function centre for corporate and community functions as well as weddings and private parties.

Blue zone is great for families, active people and large groups. It hosts the park’s recreation area with beach volleyball and enough space to have a game of football with fellow campers. Our Amphitheatre, where we have live entertainment during the peak summer season, is also located in this area. There are a number of terraced camp site areas and lots of trees to shelter you from wind and sun. This zone is mainly used during the busy peak season as well as for large groups attending events such as the “Motor Show Nelson” and the “Motorhome Show” events.
Blue- Powered Site

The easy access two-bedroom motel units are specifically designed to accommodate people less mobile or wheelchair bound. Each unit contains a Queen bed in one bedroom, and two single beds in the other. Our largest sites are located in green zone, which is mainly open during the summer season.

Teal Zone is our newest zone, opened when the building of a new ablution block was completed in September 2022. This zone also has great access to the beach and sea-front boardwalk plus lovely views of the inlet – similar to Green Zone but no pets allowed. Close to the entertainment hub of the Amphitheatre and events marquee in our high season (mid-Dec – end-Jan) this area is now open year-round except for June and July. Please note: our communal kitchens do not have cooking utensils or cloths/dish brushes. Additionally, the use of generators is not permitted on non-powered sites.

In this area you will also find mini golf, kiddies playground, reception and concierge service, café and shop and the Tahuna Function Centre.

Yellow zone is great for families and groups. Located in the center of the Park, you will find some of our largest powered sites here. There are several leafy trees for shade in the hot summer months.

The guest can cancel free of charge until 72 hours before arrival. The guest will be charged the equivalent of one nights stay if they cancel within 72 hours.
