Please check opening hours of the Kingston Cafe & Bar prior to booking as they are run separately to the train and have limited opening hours.
Ticket Prices: (OFF-PEAK) $75 for adults, $65 for concession card holders (Gold card/Students) $25 for children (5-16yrs), children 4 years and under are FREE if they ride on a caregivers lap (infants). (ON-PEAK) $85 for adults, $75 for concession card holders (Gold card/Students) $35 for children (5-16yrs), children 4 years and under are FREE if they ride on a caregivers lap (infants).

The famous Kingston Flyer is back on track! Now offering public train tours most Sundays through summer departing Kingston, Otago down to Fairlight, Southland return. Take a step back in time on our historical vintage steam train powered by the mighty Ab795 Steam Locomotive. The Kingston Flyer Railway is located in the stunning lake and alpine town of Kingston in the South Island of New Zealand, a scenic 45min drive south from Queenstown. Relax and unwind on the Kingston Flyer along a private 14km rail corridor (28km total return) in one of our 100-year-old fully restored wooden carriages while admiring the spectacular scenery of the Kingston Lake Foreshore and surrounding high country alpine farmlands. The public tour is a 1.5 - 2 hour return journey.

Directions
Kingston is a breath taking 45 minute drive from Queenstown via State Highway 6. The winding drive meanders past the foot of The Remarkables and the Hector Mountains while following Lake Wakatipu to its eastern edge. The turnoff is easily spotted from the main highway, simply follow the main road (Kent Street) all the way to the Kingston Flyer Cafe & Bar where our friendly train staff will be waiting to greet you. Free parking is available outside the cafe located near the Kingston Foreshore.

The Kingston Flyer has a 2 day cancellation policy allowing guests to cancel or reschedule up to 2 days prior from the time and date of their scheduled train ride. All bookings, booking changes, refunds and cancellations must be made via our online booking agent BookIt NZ. You can contact them direct on support@bookit.co.nz or 0800 003633 during business hours Mon-Friday 9-5pm for further information. We ask guests to respect this policy.
General Terms & Conditions
By completing your booking with us it is accepted that you agree to our terms and conditions. Your booking is considered completed once we have received full payment. All transactions are conducted in New Zealand Dollars (NZD). Kingston Flyer Ltd (and associated companies) reserve the right to amend timetables and cancel departures at any time. Our coaches are smoke-free and alcohol free zones, no smoking or drinking will be permitted onboard.
