  • This was my second stay, the first was a twin ensuite room and the last was a double ensuite - this applies equally to both: great location, clean and the staff are friendly. It's not the ritz and our room was small, however this place is very good value for money. The free parking in this location is a real bonus. 5

  • A really great place to stay in the heart of auckland. The ensuite double was exactly perfect for us, and appeared exactly as advertised which was a relief. Only downside was that the continental breakfast wasn't exactly to my taste and the juice/milk weren't chilled - minor issue, and won't stop me booking there again. If you are looking for a handily located, reasonably priced place to stay, i certainly recommend this to anyone. 5

  • The room was rather small for four people, the 'kitchenette' was a mini fridge beside the queen bed. Overall a comfortable stay but i'm rather glad we booked a family room for two people. . 1

  • Hi Renee, We think the rating you have given us is grossly unfair. The 'Family Room' you booked does not include the 'kitchenette' as you state. You are clearly confused with our 'One Bedroom Apartment' which you did not book. As per your booking confirmation, the 'Family room' includes:(with ensuite)a queen and 2 king single beds, LCD TV, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities We are glad your overall stay was comfortable

  • Fairly basic accommodation but economical. I had a single shared-facilities room one night then moved to a single en-suite room for two more nights--- en-suite rooms all booked for my first night. Free parking was fine, free wifi worked in the first night room but not in the ensuite room. The rooms suited me fine for my stay. 5

  • After a bad start to our holiday, when were still stuck at home because of bad weather, i e-mailed travel bug and they contacted the hotel and they refunded the cost of the night that we were unable to stay. Which was a great start. The rooms were basic but clean & you are only sleeping there. It was very convenient and a big bonus was the free parking, which is why we chose them over other hotels that charged you for the parking. The free wi fi was also a good bonus. I would have no hesitation in recommending the kiwi international if you are a budget conscious traveller, as i think they are good value for money. . 5

  • Wasnt impressed with the condition of my room. I have been beaten by bed bugs and got rashes on body. It is too noisy especially on weekend nights. You can hear people footsteps. It is within the range of reasonable price but does not worth all trouble. Next i will pay more for better comfort n peace. I found staff friendly. Thanks . 1

  • Wasn't impressed with this hotel. Semi rude service, we had been put into a room that stunk and the sink was blocked - they did move us. The first night stayed our room we stayed in had a ensuite and the toilet wasn't properly fixed to the floor. I wouldn't stay there again. Meant to be five stars? . 1

  • Well now, what a pleasant experience. The rooms are neat and the sheeting are fresh. Internet in the lobby gets a thumbs down unfortunately, but the free wifi makes up for that. I was upgraded to ensuite after the power sockets tripped, because i needed to charge my devices before departure. The chef is very professional and the food she prepares are really tasteful. Try their scotch fillet and kiwi breakfast. The staff was very friendly and one feels at home. Would i return? absolutely yes! they deserve 5 stars. 5

  • Got what could be expected, maybe a little more, for the price. Reception friendly and efficient. Room clean, tidy, good bed, en suite bathroom small but workable. Tv didn't want to go properly the first night (may well have been me) sorted for second. Asked for and got, room overlooking myers park (nice if you allow for late night revellers) and free parking for the whole time we were there. Only minus would be that the walls are very thin and general hall noise quite intrusive. Would suggest a fire exit only, no exit, sign on the stairway at the room 160 corner. Would stay again. . 5

  • Hmmmm. I was alittle disappointed to be honest, felt I was staying in a back packers not a Kiwi International Hotel!!!!. Catch a lift to the 2nd floor, then walk the corridor's to get a lift to the 3rd floor. A jug for coffee, that you had to boil on the floor, because of positioning of power plugs! I had written on my internet booking that we required a car park for the 3 nights we were staying, only to be told after an extremly long drive that there were none available, and that they worked on a "first in first served basis", I made our booking Two months prior to our visit!!!!!! How much notice do they need???? The 2 reception girls were abrupt and didn't seen to give a toss. We will NOT be staying again. 1

  • Rooms where very clean, bath room too, But was not the best stay it felt more like a hostel stay than a hotel. Think they should change their name. Staff were also running late with servicing the rooms as a result i told them not to worry to clean our room. On arrival was told there was no parking but there actually was think they should have a better system that lets them know what is avaliable and whats not avaliable. Over all i'll give it a 5/10 1

The non economy room is small but excellent facilities for the price, flat screen tv, new shower ect. The hotel staff are great, very friendly and good service. location is slighly off queen street so noise levels are lower than other budget hotels in the area. I upgraded for the second two nights, which cost an extra $30 per night but was well worth it. The room was modern with its own bathroom and tv and overlooked a park. There was still noise but it wasn't overwhelming. I thoroughly recommend staying here in one of the better quality rooms. 5

As well as that, the reception staff were not at all welcoming - I seemed to be an inconvenience to their day. I'll try not to make the same mistake again. 1
