  • I was very impressed with my visit. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming - it started as soon as I walked through the front door! Our tour guide, Dan, was friendly, informative, and fun. The opportunity to wander the grounds and learn about the Treaty was excellent. 4

  • What a breathtaking location. We felt very humbled by what we did not know about the treaty and its importance to the Maori people. The method of story telling and the legends preformed through dance and music where a great way to share the Maori story and their future place in New Zealand. 5

  • Had a wonderful evening at Waitangi. Would thoroughly recommend to all. The performers were so engaged and enthusiastic, they almost took the roof off the Marae! The challenges felt very authentic, and a little scary! I could imagine the feelings of the first settlers being greeted by that noise! The meal was awesome and plenty for everyone! Thanks so much for the insight into Maori history. 5

  • I have been lucky enough to spend a fair bit of time in and around Paihia, and the best money spent, most remarkable time had would have to be at the Waitangi Treaty grounds. It was not only informative, but entertaining and interactive. The people are all so welcoming and informative. They were all just too happy to share this moment in time with you to expose you to their culture and ways. It was remarkable. I highly recommend this to anyone travelling to the North. 5

  • The evening was executed with great warmth. These kind of events can sometimes be a bit cheesy but this one was executed with great taste. Only one criticism, was that the free glass of wine was of low quality, 5

  • The guides for both of these events were fantastic. Our Colorado guests rated it as one of the best things they had done. I liked the fact that the cultural shows were more traditional. The one thing that we felt was missing this time was even a brief explanation about the different styles of carvings in the Meeting House, representing the different NZ tribes. The new Museum is Wonderful!! Well done 4

  • Enjoyed my visit to Waitangi. My children loved it and learned a lot about the Treaty and what happened. I loved that the children had an activity sheet to fill out along the tout, it meant they had to listen to get the answers. The tour guide was informative and funny. The performers were amazing!! I highly recommend this visit. It is worth the money, which for NZ residents is only 20.00 and children under 18 are FREE!! 5
